I have not seen a deer like that, but I have seen a bull elk that had a white body and tan legs about 7 years ago while I was hunting antelope in unit 1. I was in the middle of a stalk and it was so interesting that I got caught up in watching the elk and blew the stalk. The bull got shot later that fall from what I understand.

killed by a stinkin' "illegal" alien
weatherby1 replied to .270's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
While I agree that something needs to change. It is diffacult to say how to go about it. Incarceration and manual labor sound sound good but how does the cost get covered? From what I have seen and heard our prisons are better than what they are in so there is still no incentive for them to stay in Mexico. If we want them to stop coming up then we have to stop hiring them and stop giving them benefits, such as free medical treatments and welfare checks, they can even get tax refund checks.I am not sure what the answer is but there needs to be a solution fast. I live about 60 miles strait north of where the shooting took place and am very familiar with the problems that are being caused by the illegals. I see them on our property and around eveywhere and when you call it in Border Patrol or the Sheriff Dept. show hours later. It is not their fault they are understaffed, but that does not make a person feel very safe. I did not know Mr. Krenz but do know his son very well and based on him we have lost a very good person for no good reason. -
We set up around mohave point and my two boys and I sat for 5 or 6 hours and did not get a bite. We all had a good time and I got another lesson in how to untangle lines. For some reason my 3 year old thought the best way to catch a fish was to put his hook in the middle of a bush. The flowers were amazing, and the weather was very nice. So a good trip all around.

Bravo well said Coues'n'Sheep -
A friend of mine just got back from Mexico this weekend. He was born and raised there and has now become a citizen of the US he said that it is so bad there that they cannot find anybody to watch their livestock up in the mountains anymore because they all work for drug cartels. He also said that with all of the runoff from this winter that all of the pot seeds that were planted in the mountains have washed down stream and that the banks of the river in his town are knee deep in pot. In his town in the last ten day there have been 10 people killed out of a town of maybe 500 to 1000. The police are sacred to wear their uniforms and the cartels have started painting their vehicles to look like police so you now do not know who is really stoping you. Scary stuff and not that far from us.

I agree with the majority the accubond is an excellent bullet.I have not used it in my 257 yet but has not failed me in US,Canada,or Africa in my 30-378. My father has been using the 100 grain tripleshock in his 257 for the last few years and has been very happy with them especially at longer distances 300+ at closer range they seem to act more like a solid and just pierce a hole everything went down just took longer to find.

That's cool. It is amazing how well little ones can do with the right instruction.

Huskemaw 5-20 LR Rifle Scope
weatherby1 replied to Bucks_N_Yotes's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I sent a leupold 6-20 lr back to the factory and had a custom turrets put on for around $150. They work very well and was cheaper than getting a new scope.
