I think that it is because they are making the diesel trucks more silent. They are making guns shoot farther, and if all else fails it might just be George W. Bush's fault.

First you need to put it in a plastic garbage bag. Then put it in a cardboard box and wrap it with Christmas wrapping paper. Then put one of your favorite hunting friends name on it tell him not to worry about the smell it will go away after awhile. Congrats on a sucessful hunt.

We got back from Wy last weekend. We came home with 2 deer and 4 antelope. We did not get anything huge, but we had an awsome time. We had one or both kids with us on every animal and we even got some good small game hunting in for the boys.

Great deer!! It is a shame that we have to be so careful about what we are sharing with our friends, but in this day and age you never know what can be fuel for the anti's fire. I think yo made the right call by pulling the pics. By the way kudos on the shot as well. I bet it was an easy tracking job.

I have been shooting the accubonds out of my 30-378 for 5 years now and they have done everything I have needed them to do. Just got back from WY and shot 3 antelope and 1 deer from 100 yd to 597 and everything went down very fast. If you put it in the right place it will do what it is supposed to.

Here is the lope my youngest son and I got last weekend. I had been scouting the last month or so and had found a very nice black headed buck. He was always within 500 yards of the same spot. So Sat. morning rolls around and Luke and I leave the house around 4:00.We pull in to the "spot" right at sunup no blackie to be found. We stalked two different bucks thinking that they were the one but no luck. So finally back to the truck to for lunch and a nap for Luke. While driving up to a high spot to glass from I get a text from a friend in Wy. he shot a nice 81" buck.I replied to the text and look up to find a herd of antelope in front of me at abot 600 yd. I get out the spotting scope and low and behold there is Blackie maybe. I spend an hour going though the checklist same number of doe from when I saw him last night same area same black head one horn tilts back a little, but it is 95 degrees and I just cannot see good detail of the horn through all the heat waves. About this time a truck races by they all get up run back where they came from and start to mill around. Luke is still asleep and I do not want to lose an oppertunity at this goat. They are about 550 yd from the truck so I get out sneak up about 50 yards closer and roll him. Hurry back to the truck Luke is awake and says great shot Dad! Did you get him? I said yes and we go and pick him up. After all the looking he is not blackie, but I am still happy. It was a great day and on the way home Luke asked if I could take him hunting again next year. That's what its all about right there!! By the way it is liquid feed from the cattle feeder all over his head and that is what was making it look black.

Great write up!! My family and I have been going up there for 3 years now. It is a blast. We leave in a week or two. Next time if you get a chance go a little bit later and you can turn it into a combo hunt Deer/Antelope. I have 3 goat tags and two deer tags this year and where we hunt you have a good chance at mule deer or whitetail its great.

I think the only way I could pass a 380 bull would be if the 400 bull was standing behind him.

I think that a 25-06 would be good. You might want to load the bullets yourself and tweak the load a little. My 7 yr. old is shooting a T/C .223 that I cut the stock on and decreased the powder. It works great for trophy Jackrabbits. The most important thing is that the kid is comfortable shooting whatever they have. It is not the size of the bullet that matters it is the placement.

As I sit here at work all I can think of is how many Big Bulls are down. Come on guys lets see some pictures.

For all of us that are stuck behind a desk, counter, in a vehicle just think somewhere in AZ right now someone is looking through a peep at an elk.

I have not ever hunted the unit myself, but have had friends that have. From what they have said there are some good deer around, but just like every where else they are not behind every bush. Sorry I could not help more.

First shot dead on, next shot somewhere in front of a running deer, third shot somewhere in the general direction of the hillside. Then to the truck cussing the gun for being off. Then to the house to tell everyone I see I let the 115" buck grow for another year to get bigger.

Me and my two boys age 5 and 2 my wife and my mother and father went to South Africa last year. I did quite a bit of research and ended up booking everything through Cabela's. Our trip went off without a hitch. I cannot say enough good things about the hunt and their travel service. My five year old son even got to take a very nice Blesbok on the last day. Cabela's might not be the cheapest one out there but after some of the horror stories I heard I liked security we felt going with a well known company.(and besides they get most of my money anyway Hope this helps and have a great trip when you go. There is no place like Africa and I have got my next trip on the books.

I am getting a new 270wsm and was wondering if anybody has been reloading 140gr. Bergers. I have not tried any Bergers yet but I think I will give into temptation. If anybody has some load suggestions that would be great.

I am confused why are there Mexican-Americans, African-Americans, Native-Americans and so forth if we all live in the same country and are a citizen then are we not all just an American? I am not sure why there is a need to have a different name for all immigrants? America is historically a melting pot of people and the reason that worked was because once they reached America they worked hard to learn the language and to become a citizen and once they were a citizen they were very proud to call themselves a plain ol' American. By the way if I moved to Africa would I be a African-American,or American-African.
