Well its that time of year again, to watch and photograph these Bulls grow throughout the summer. I think we are going on 4 years now, wow.....how time flies. And nope, I didnt draw an archery Bull tag again after 6 years. But the family did draw 2 bull tags and the grandson drew a cow tag. Was up this weekend getting ready for my turkey tag, and thought I would start the ELK SHOW early and here we go Enjoy!!!!!!!!! JOhnny bonus Blast from the Past

I always forget, never go up north on a holiday weekend, ATV`s, rangers polaris`s EVERYWHERE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Add the RAIN and HAIL, all that equals to NOT much elk. Plus, a 6.5 hr drive home when it should only be 4 hours max. Needless to say the pics this weekend were slim. But I got a few. Ill be up the next few weekends, there are not many days left till the antler season is done, maybe 5 weeks ? Still looking to be stellar! Got on a 8x7 lets see what he looks like in 5.5 weeks. Here we Go Johnny the one in lower left is an 8x7, each eyeguard has a 2 inch kicker and in this pic the lower tow must be father / son, seem to have the same palmation on their tops

I load probably more than most people, here what works for me DIllon tools and reloaders rock for reloading lotsa bullets, and there in Phoenix Most single stages will do the trick, I use a forester for accuracy/ long range I use wilson trimmers, but now they have little crow trimmers which look real promising. build the stoutest bench you can. and redding dies you cant go wrong with oh, and frankford arsenal stainless tumblers rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! start simple and learn, hang at the bench rest competitions and ask questions. Those guys are all about accuracy johnny

bulls with that many points deserve a really good portrait shot. I was gonna say it looked like unit 10 up north, I got some nice bull pics up there near Tin House 20 years ago when I started hunting Elk, I knew I should have married an Indian Johnny

Well it is mid June and 2 more months of antler growth to go. Still looking to be a stellar year. Word up north alot of elk are being hit on the highways by truckers, The digital signs on the highways are saying watch for Elk are everywhere. It was a soso weekend, seem all the water and feed are making it harder for me to pattern the elk this year. But I did seem to get a few pics, Even saw a boxing match while I was up north, a first for me. Ever seen a 9 foot boxer with antlers, an amazing sight !. Fishing was awesome, caught a 2.5 lb trout and was it pink and delicious. Took the grandkids and 2 of the boys fishing and shooting and we had a BLAST. Nothing like spending time with the Boys, 3 generations enjoying the outdoors. Well here we go, kinda pic heavy, but I got some decent pics Enjoy the pics............ I did taking them Johnny Look at the Rack on this guy............... I meant his antlers haha A blast from the past

Well i just got back, took the oldest grandson with me for some fishin and shootin and a little elk watching. Great Times!!!!!! Any way.... WOW some of the big boys are looking real promising. What a year to draw a Bull Tag! I really believe the moisture has had a toll on the bulls this year, there is green everywhere. Stay tuned to the show all summer and watch them grow You tell me what ya think, And remember this is only MAY!!!!!!!!! 2.5 months to go ! The pics this weekend turned out better than I thought, Early morning pics are tough enjoy the Pics.... Me and Alex (Grandson) had a blast taking them. Johnny we will start off small and work our way up one for u cow hunters bigger GONNA BE A TOAD look at this badd boy!!!!! Blast from the past may 2014

Well Im back with a few more pics. What the heck is up with this weather? Rain.... Snow almost all month, sure messed with my turkey huntin. All in all the moisture is sure going to help out antler growth. The bulls are getting bigger and the cows should be dropping the calves about now, thats why you dont see many out this time of the month, They tend to stay in the thick stuff to hide from the coyotes. Here we go, the first pic is LEFTY he is back !!!!! last years pics is up above Enjoy Johnny [iM street view, thought it was a cool pic BLAST FROM THE PAST
