    Spotting Scopes

Whatever you do, don't get the winchester spotting scope. My wife gave me one of them for Christmas last year and I took it back the next day. They don't work.

My personal preference goes to Mathews and Hoyt. Try them out.

anybody ever been attacked by an injured deer.

Yeah, I've been attacked by a few deer. The best thing you can do is to climb a tree the experts say. I'm sure Lark has had a few of these experiences also.

draw length and weight for kids

I bought a browning bow from Sportsmans Warehouse in Phoenix that has an adjustable draw length from like 23-28 inches and a draw weight from 20-45 pounds. It is a great bow at a low price. I would definately look into it.

    Bear hunters

From what I have heard, Bears in AZ do not do a fullblown hibernation like in colder states. When they do hibernate here, it is usually on very steep and thick slopes uaually under thick trees or overhangs. On warm winter days they will move around a little. This is just what I have heard.

    Water

I have had trail cams on water for months and sat treestands/ground blinds many times. From my experiences and trail camera pictures, coues deer will come in most often from 9 am to 4 pm. I've also had them come in at first light and just before dark but the majority were between 9-4. Basically if you are going to sit water for coues you should plan on being there all day.
