Using 2-way radios while hunting. Legal, ethical or what?
Millhouse replied to Whitesheep's topic in The Campfire
I have always been under the same understanding. On a separate note, did the regs say it was illegal to harvest an animal with a radio-collar? If so, I ever knew that. -
Wow, that's impressive.

Thanks for all the advice folks. Just the kind of stuff I was looking for. Sounds like each has its own pros and cons; along with some personal preference.
-
I do not have extensive experience with either method of hunting and I know that several of you out there do; so I looking for some info. What makes you choose a tree stand over a ground blind, or vise-versa? (assuming there are trees to hang a stand of course!) Looking more as an option for deer and elk than anything else.

I was thinking about the Transporter, but Seven is pretty accurate too!

Sure hope you post some pics of the finished product!

AGFD news Wildlife News - June 29, 2013

I believe what is being referred to is located in the PDF document attached to the "Amended Article 3 rules affecting hunters take effect July 1" section. On pages 13-14 it states: "I. An individual may possess, transport, or import only the following portions of a cervid lawfully taken in another state or country: 1. Boneless portions of meat, or meat that has been cut and packaged; 2. Clean hides and capes with no skull or soft tissue attached, except as required for proof of legality; 3. Clean skulls with antlers, clean skull plates, or antlers with no meat or soft tissue attached; 4. Finished taxidermy mounts or products; and 5. Upper canine teeth with no meat or tissue attached. -
Awesome! Thanks for sharing.

I too leave some foo and water in the bed of my truck for the same reason. I also try to park in a highly visible spot where my truck is out in the open. Getting a Club for my steering wheel gave me some additional peace of mind. Have BP number in your phone just in case. I would also contact the AZGF WM and ask for advice on areas where they recommend you NOT go. All this being said, if you take precautions, you should have a great hunt !

Hey Mike! Is there an Athens dealer here in the valley?
-
Good to know. I too did not know that and thought they were still a local product.

Awesome. I have always wanted to have a European mount with real velvet . Looking forwarded to seeing them.
-
Hey Cole, is that artificial velvet? Haven't seen too many velvet European mounts; looks good.
