"God Gave Us Nails" - A January Spot and Stalk Coues Deer Story
Millhouse replied to Tunachaser's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Good job and a great story! I loved it all and glad to see your take on things. I appreciated the scripture as well -
I have reset multiple cameras in Unit 8 that I found had been moved and pointed towards the sky or turned around or facing the ground.

Saw a good one in the bed of a truck on Sunday as I was headed back home. Been slow but I will be back up there this weekend for a couple more days. Hope to get I done but it looks to be tough.

Anyone using the horn hunter full curl system?
Millhouse replied to Hanksaiditbest's topic in Other Hunting Gear
I purchased the system used from another cwt member . I have had it for three years I think. I still have mixed feelings about the pack. It's not everything that I wanted it to be, but I still find myself using it. Pros: obviously its versatility. The belt pouches are actually big enough to hold gear (range finder, GPS, small video camera) and are easy to open. Waste belt is comfortable and I think it has a good feel around the waste. Mutiple options to go with depending on the specific hunt. Cons: I've had a buckle break (they seem on the cheap end) and I broke a cynch tap. There are a crap ton of buckle and straps. The spotting scope pouch needs to be stiffer, I can more gear than I need and without using the large bag there isn't a lot of storage room -
There is no way I could have stayed that cool and calm...I'm impressed...

I sure hope that he does a write up after his hunt! I'm definetly looking forward to it.

My smallest but probably will be one of the most memorable

Great story and great job at taking advantage of the opportunity you had. Surely a memory you and your family will remember for a long, long time. -
Sweet buck!

2 weeks till the rut elk tag and my sons bow gets ran over
Millhouse replied to Adicted's topic in The Campfire
That sucks but it will be a lesson he will never forget. My nephew used to be in the habit of laying all his gear down on the ground by the truck. He left his binos there one time and I ran over them. Needless to say, he doesn't do that any more. -
Great buck

Awesome job! Good choice on focusing on the lope tag...

Great job! Nothing says spot and stalk antelope more than a good sun burn and torn pants. It can be frustrating as heck, but it's hard to beat the sense of accomplishment when you connect. Congrats!

I would be all over this if I hadn't just bought a new Elite. Good deal
-
Do you know the dates?
-
I was unsuccessful at drawing that tag as well. Would be a good one.

Tough to say with one angle, but I too would put him north of 75". More around the 80" mark IMHO.

Where are you located?

How did it go today?

Do you agree with G&F forcing kids to take Hunter Safety???
Millhouse replied to Big Browns's topic in Youth Hunters
"Do you agree with G&F forcing any kids 10-14 years old to take hunter safety before they can hunt big game animals?" Yes, yes I do. -
+1 I have heard him several times throughout the years. Glad to see him still pursuing his dreams. Nothing like supporting local talent.
