What a unique bull, very cool!

I went to my favorite elk spot this morning to see what I could find. I saw a bull and thought he looks like a nice bull and took a few pics. Then when he turned I saw he was a 7x7 and I was surprised at how much he had grown already! I was also lucky enough to glass up a bear that was feeding a few hundred yards from a couple of bulls! It was another great day in the woods!

Bulls will bugle year round but it isn't anything like during the rut. Can't figure out the bull being hard horned already unless he didn't shed his antlers this year.

What weird stuff have you glassed or happen well glassing for game?
Pixman replied to seek100plus's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Well I wasn't glassing but had a crazy thing happen last year. My wife and I went to a spot we enjoy seeing critters and were driving around and she says "there is a Quail". Well having a lot of Quail pics I wasn't too excited but I backed up and took a few pics of a male standing on the ground. Then we see a female and she is being followed by some newborn babies that are very small and cute as can be. I am having a hard time getting pics because of the brush, grass and the small size of the babies. We are sitting in the car just enjoying the Quail family walking by looking for food etc.. and then our nice peaceful moment exploded with the Quail going ballistic flapping everywhere and making all kinds of noise! We are trying to figure out what is going on and then we see a snake and believe it was after a baby. Well the snake gets ran off and the babies are scared out of their minds hiding under mamma Quail. Then the snake crawls up a near by bush and the male keeps climbing up underneath it and then back to check on his family and then back underneath it to keep the snake up in the bush so the family can escape. It was the craziest thing I have seen and couldn't believe it happened right in front of us. It did not catch a baby and everyone was fine as far as we could tell. The last pic is the snake hiding in the bush if it wasn't red I am sure it would be blushing after what the Quail had done to it! -
Thanks, I responded to e-mail.

My wife and I did it last year. We enjoyed it since we had never been on Dolly the steamboat but it rained most of the time so we didn't see a lot of sheep. I would do it again but don't want to spend $70 for the both of us to go again.

Where was this at?

No, I haven't been back out there and now I am in a walking cast so I wont be going back for at least a month probably longer. I hope they both survived and are flying around some where!

So a few weeks ago I posted a few pics that included a Great horned Owl on a nest with a baby. Well I went back and checked on the nest and there were two young ones not just one. I took some pics and when I got home I realized one had a stick stuck in it's back. It bothered me not knowing how it would do or if it would survive! So I went back the next day and I was glad to see the stick was no longer in its back and it looked fine. I walked around for an hour hoping to find an adult Owl but didn't have any luck. I am just happy that the little one is fine and will soon leave the nest and hopefully live a a great life in the beautiful desert!

Hybrid quail? That would be interesting! -
I changed the batteries last time but forgot to reset the date and time. So just ignore all that and enjoy the pics!
