Anyone have something we can start with? I think he can pull 50 lbs but not much more.

do you still have this bow

A very very tough hunt for a good buck, you will need a lot of luck to get a nice deer down. I have hunted 5B many many times and you might see a good buck scouting but once the hunt starts they are gone.

As fare as this firewood crap, I know a lot of people who need firewood to last the winter. They are getting wood for there familys to stay warm. You see these guys out in the woods with a crew of friends and family members getting it done, what pisses me off is when you are hiking 2+ miles from the road and a guy drives up turns his music on and starts cutting a random tree miles from the road when he could of cut one a few hundred yards from the road? As fare as getting off the roads and hiking, I am all for it, and that is how I hunt, but the issue with this road closer is that I will follow the rules and hike in, but then there will be some dumb butt that will just drive the closed road and mess you up. They dont have the ability to enforce this, a lot of guys will not follow the rules and just chance that the one or two guys in the unit are not going to get them, some will get a ticket but lots will go free. And I think them not posting road closed is a good idea, I think they should go take down all the signs with road numbers that are being closed. That way you will know if you can drive on a road, does it have a number? If they go out and post road closed signs people will just take them out and if stopped just say there was no sign and will be able to fight the ticket. Personaly, I think it will help with hunting water (I cant hunt water holes, cant sit still that long), but now you will be able to sit a water hole without having guys drive by every few minutes as there are a lot of tanks that will only be accessed by walking in with these new rules.

I have not seen the map, so I cant get to mad about it yet, but if everyone followed the new rules there would be a ton more area to hunt and get away from people. A lot of guys will not get off the roads, so shutting off a lot of the roads will help eliminate some hunting pressure. The big problem with this, is when you are out hiking 3 miles in and a quad goes by you, I would probably confront them and I would be pissed, take down there info and turn them in. Another bad thing, is all the camping restrictions? I think this is the worst idea, try camping on a main road 30 feet off of it during elk season, you will get hammered with dust.

Great hunt, lots of bulls, be carfull of calling in high preasure areas, most of the time the elk will bolt. Get off the roads and I think the worst thing right now in that unit is the wood cutters. We hunted there last year and they were every place and just driving cross country miles from a road. Good luck

I would call it in for sure

Nothing for us, I have 19 point for goat and nothing, and had 4 on our app for elk and nothing? Crazy, I sure hope they are not done yet and I still have a shot at my goat tag!

Expos for Auction Tags are bad
robertramsey61 replied to javihammer's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
I posted this on another site, I think this is all a very bad idea, the way they brought it out the way it is written, everything. Giving this many tags away will flood the market and the price will go down for these big auction tags. This year the deer tag went for 135K, thats a lot to me, but that is 20 K lower than last year and way lower than the year before. If these tags are that sought after by these wealthy people why are the prices going down? Mark it, if they give this many tags and flood the market the deer tag will go under 100K every year. I can think of two ways to make money for conservation with out this EXPO crap, 1) have an Arizona conservation stamp, one price for res and one for non rer. The second is, if they are going to give away more tages, just give one tag per species to generate more money, it would not flood the market and bring upwards of 500k for support and thats with one more per species. They should not auction these tags, they should hold 2 different Super Raffles. One in February and the other in July, that way if will give everyone, thats everyone, the same opportunities for these great tags. I think they should remove all the other raffle tags they want to give out, as that is what hurts the most, getting tags taken from an area that only has 35 or 50 tags hurts bad. The last thing, take away the phone bids, if you want the tag they need to be present, that is the best way to get these guys out and to spend more money. I can only remember one time in the last 3 years I have been to a banquet and the winner of the tag was there, they are almost always on the phone????? -
Questions regarding used Utility Quads (ATV)
robertramsey61 replied to Airbusdriver's topic in The Campfire
Polaris all the way, I have 2 carb 400 sportsmans and 2 fuel injected 700's, it is way nicer with the fuel injection but the 400 runs like a champ. Can say I would take a Polaris over a Honda any day, have riden many and they are less powerfull and slower quad -

Chris is solid, he has done 3 mounts for me and has my deer from this year. Mount-N-View is top notch!
