We were in 8 when the closures first happened... Down one road, and then a connecting road, and then another... finally to see they only mark one end. We didnt get "caught" but there was no way to tell it was clodsed the direction we came

Not sure what its labeled as in Punkin center.... but fr 609 will take you from the young rd ( Az Hwy 288) to punkin center. there is no bridge, but you con cross the creek there. We did it as a loop, and wound up coming home in the dark after adventures took us to the roosevelt lake overlook and indian cave.

Looking for a spare tire for a new to me truck. I need an 8 lug 16 inch rim on the 6.5 pattern. The axle is off of a 1995 ford 1 ton (SRT). Just throwing it out there on here to see what i can find. It still hot to crawl around a junk yard, and that'll interfere with dove season. ha ha thanks for looking

Technically it depends on the insurance you put on it. Kinda... I think its called hagerty insurance, It's supposed to be less than so many miles per year. My brothers buddy in tucson has a restored custom square body truck. He has it on his, but he said they never check and theres no way to report or track mileage. Its supposed to be "the mileage required to take the vehicle to shows" or something like that. So if you live in tucon but all your shows that you attend ar in the north valley?? i dont know. In our situation, i asked our insurance agent and she was like "that ain't happening"... because theres no way a teenage driver driving a bronco 2 is only going to use it for going to shows strictly. If i was the only one listed on it, then they would pursue that option. So we got historic plates on an 88 with regular insurance. Its like $90 for 2 years of registration and no emissions. Registration is sort of vague. When i first went to get it registered i thought it would have to pass an initial emissions test and be inspected at the very least. But they didnt even do that. We just went to dmv and they gave us the copper plate. But if any of you are secretely epa/dmv/or greenies... the truck is just fine and runs great. ha ha

its a 95, so it can be registered as a classic... then no emissions needed. did the same thing for the kids bronco 2

My go to was always canyon before i got a power boat. anoe and kayaking canyon is nice. Bought a pontoon, and saguaro is 15 minutes from them. Saguaro has crap for parking, so get there early and the ramps suck in general. Canyon has better ramps but less "open" area for jet skis and towing the tube. Haven't been, but Bartlet is supposed to be the siaze of canyon and saguaro combined. Hopefully thats our next stop. I'd run up the hill to Roosevelt or Apache if diesel wasnt the cost of a mrotgage.

Ive had good luck at Japan motors at Lindsay and main. The neighbor recommended them to me. Had to take the stepson's 88 bronco 2 in there. Decent guys, honset, and theyll find you price options that wont charge an arm or a leg....or other body part. Japan motors, but they work on everything. Seen some nice custom classic muscle projects go through there. Might be a little short handed now however.

When my stepson got his first tag... we couldn't find a field day. I finally reached out and called the HE program. I explained that the boy had a tag in hand but couldnt get into a class. The guys were pretty cool. They allowed us to just attend the field day (even though it was full). They were even nice enough to let me take it with him (highly recommended). In the end, i think 3/4 of the people that day were in a similar situation. In the end they cut the class into thirds and did the lesson plan. *not saying to bombard them, but the instructors are pretty accomodating.

Okay, so first a story. My brother bought a set of rims and tires on a trip up to the valley. He wanted the rims, and his old tires. So i got his old rims and new * tires left at my house before he left to go back to the Pueblo. What i got, a truck and a yard to hold his stuff. ha ha. And this is what he left me.: BFG KM3s MT 37/13.5R18, set of 5; MTs. They were all holding air and were on the sellers jeep untill his wife got him a set of beadlocks. $500 for the rubber. Couple of good chunks out of a few of the lugs, but still great for the road or trail. Set of 5 XD monster rims. (my brothers takeoffs). As pictured a few cosemtic issues but nothing serious. All 5 have center caps and a spare new one as well, $500 for the rims. was on a 2014 jeep, and i believe theyre 5 on 5. Can work out something for delivery if needed. thanks for looking Matt

We were up in27 for the cow hunt. There was a cold snap for opening weekend. It was like 23 opening morning if i remember. We would run the heater for a bit just before bed, and an hour before getting ready, id get up and turn the heat on. It was like 37 in the trailer at the coldest point... (rough getting up to get the heater going ha ha) ... but nothing froze for us

We were in the area, after it happened... trying to get a phone fixed. looked up the article while waiting in line. Then the next morning the wife found a better report. As sure as AzElk hunter can attest... so many details are missing. As i told my wife.. the guy that got out of his car was in the wrong. He escalated the aggression and unfortunatly the gamble didnt pay off on his part. "Due diligents" of the shooter being detained is a normal thing. Hopefully it all comes out in the wash. And then he gets some actual firearms training and doesnt shoot innocent bystanders in the process. Do me, it sounds like the guy was in the right to defend himself.

one charge... so now i gotta wait to see if its stink pig or thunder chicken

I don't feel that the OP was trying to stir the pot... but rather the "what and or why" of doing what we do. With opposition from a sibling, the easiest way i can explain it to her, any other rando anti, or just any other rando in general...: To me its the analogy of a symphony. You take all of the components of a symphonic concert... then you add a guy with a kazoo. That kazoo guy not only has to fit into the performance, but be so skilled at what what they do...he has to blend in like he's supposed to be part of the ensemble . To me, thats what hunting is. Anyone can go listen to the music being made (bird watcherss, hikers, wild life enthusiasts... etc). But hunting makes you immerse, partake, and understand all the components of nature to be succcesful.
