Umm....... Why "should they let us know by now........" ?? You do know the process, right? Why "should" they have to let us know? Sounds like you're feeling entitled to something that you were never promised and that you 'wish' they would let us know, but the fact is that they are following the process and will likely adhere to the dates that were published. Anyone who applied electronically and was lucky enough to get drawn (me included) will just have to wait it out. S. First, sorrry... yes the point isn't the deadline. well secondarily, it is. My point about the deadline is because the hypothetical "delay" now is becuase they have to go back and make 2,400 phones calls (3 attempts for 800 people) to see if they have a different solution to them not being drawn. A deadline to put in. A deadline to adjust cards. Done. And like stanley and some of the other guys have said, There is no release date. The only dates they have are the 28th for leftovers, and the 8th for mailings. I again, agree wih stanley. Its a sense of entitlement that us card users assume we have "our card, our money, our purchase.... why cant we know?".... We can know... when the draw gets completed. On the other end of the spectrum.... they don't have to make results available to us by phone or online. (that's a courtesy)... technically we could have to wait until the tags were in hand.

Stanley is exactly right. There is NO OFFICIAL DRAW DATE. Just a thousand or so of us impateint outdoor enthusiasts that have jumped to our own conclusions. The only thing they have published was an official date for left over tags, and when the "'checks' in the mail" date. It does officially suck for those that put in for that archery hunt in august. But at the same time, I'm guessing if you have the patience to do archery in august, you more than likely already know what unit, tree, and or place you want to camp is... months ago. Instant gratification! Me personally, thats half of the reason why i put in for the hunt with my CC. The other reason is ease of finance. I can use a credit card to pay for the hunt (and or, i can collect applicable data) so i can get my app submitted so i dont have to wait for my globe trotting brother or the two other guys that put in with me to have funds before i submit. I like it. I too have fallen for the modern nicety of instant charges, and tracking. But all in all that is trying to "cheat the system" in a way. We know we get to go, be considerate of our "paper companions" and sit on your hands until it comes out officially. lol. There is nothing that states they will tell you where you get to go, when they charge your card. thats what the draw is for,. G&F had to publicly announce on their facebook page to not call the office to check on draw resulsts the very first day charges started to come out. ---- And i know i said it before, a deadliine is a deadline. Dead means no more. lol.... I dont see why the department is making the 3 calls to even one person, to try and rectify their credit card. Working retail on the side to be able to fund my adventures.... it is not up to me to ensure that you have sufficient funds when you come in to pick up parts. They have set the second tuesday as the deadline in feb, june, and oct... and nice enough to remind us that use cards to make sure everything is in order. After that, roll the bones and hope for the best. I've missed credit card and paper deadlines it sucks, but oh well. Remember calling the hotline for draw results!?!? Now that sysem sucked. One phone number for all of the planet to use! I remember setting an alarm for 2:30 am, to attempt to call in to find out, and still getting the busy signal.

holy crap.... she looks just like my Hank (male eng pntr, 5 yrs old). i was skimming through the post looking at the pictures. Thought my family may have put my dog up in an ad at first. ha ha ha. Hank has a docked tail and doesnt "know" wha a bird is though. ha ha

Seen a picture earlier this morning... ot Steven the great exotic hunter, Triumphantly next to the last known unicorn. Such a thing of beauty, but a heckuva trophy. Now who's gonna make the rainbows though? ha ha people are idiots ----- As for the az G&F and sasquatch.... i bet they treat it just like the ferral hogs... where "they dont exist" so theres technically no need for regulation. Fair game on the sas and pigs.

at least there not "tending to nature" in front of your trail cam. ha ha ha

call the coyotes.... apparently they can get anything across, on foot.

I just purchased a coleman instant up tent from my buddy. (had to upgrade for more people camping) The one i picked up is a 10x14 8 person. I know thats to huge for you, but even new it runs $240 (amazon). Or i know they have different sizes in the instant up group. even at the colossal size of 10x14, i can set it up or take it down in about 3 minutes. the thing is pretty sweet. ive had it on two trips this summer and have set i up three times in the yard just for fun i think. ha ha.

I got hit, we were a "full boat" for deer and turkey... so four tags for each. Now the exciing part and getting to see wha lucky choice we got. --- Seyha, you asked about the BofA app.... I dont have the app, but i do have an online usage alert set up on my account. It comes up with everything (i think). although 4 turkey tags was 100, and four deer was 180... I know the fraud alert is almost instant when the charge goes through
-
i have to agree with big browns... I too agree that the majority is on the first day, but i dont hink its as high as 95. The process is drawn and then cards rejected then moved on. I know on my BofA card, the charges made send an almost immidiate alert that it was used (seen it happen paying bills online or making purchases) But i know it took a few days for my 2012* cow tag to hit. Especially when TJ informed me he got charged saturday morning for his tag. mine came through on like tuesday afternoon. *and yes, i know the process has evolved from two years ago. On a much brighter note.... I got mine. so neener neener.(just kidding).... deer and turkey 2014 here we come.

I always debate which to buy, wait to see if we draw for elk, get wrapped up in spring/summer camping and miss the deadline. Parta me wants to do it just in hopes of having a "gimme" tag of any elk anywhere.... so i dont have to wait until they all disappear during the season maybe next year i will save my pennines for the tickets. I think i would do elk, mule, and then the big horn

Maybe one of the generous sponsors here on CWT can work their magic and convice these guys to share their movie night with us in Az. The name of the other hunting/outdoor movie escapes me now (about 2 years ago), but they didnt show that one anywhere close to the state either. http://huntingfilmtour.com/ I watched a couple of the trailers here and the entire thing looks pretty awesome. I dont have any travel plans, but maybe some of the other members might luck out and get to partake in watching them in their entirety.

it was 22 degrees at camp the last three mornings we were in 22n for the late bull (not the late, late bull... those poor guys with that hunt!). I'd be willing to pay for someone to come back to camp.... they can have the coffee ready and the heater lit in the pop up, maybe a warm breakfast. ha ha ha

Seen a post from Bearizona on tuesday that showed the cubs playing in a rain sprinkle. We camped up in williams this past weekend and sounds like we missed the first summer storm

the first rule of hunt club, is dont talk about hunt club

figured this was going to be a thread about tires..... or about the day after chili night at camp.... either way was i wrong. ha ha. EWWWWWWW.

underwear. ha ha 50 bucks, look at the cost savings of only needing one pair for the whole entire hunt! JUST KIDDING.
-
Maybe he needs to be on that "hoarders tv show"? lol I could run my mouth about different people holding out for one particular hunt... but i just got long winded in the "crash" thread in the campfire. In the end, its a lottery. Maybe it's all where they wanna place his/her bets.... just like the other species.

I think everyone just wants a reason to complain. lol. The deadline is the second tuesday of the month (february, june, and october). I have been neglectful and have put in on the last day, even trying to rush over before they pull the baskets back in the "paper only days" due to work, fundings, or whatever. I for one am thankful of the online system. It allows for a more flexible payment option. And at the same time, no system is flawless, although G&F seems to have more than its fair share. I put in online weeks ago just fine, maybe its the higher quality calendar i purchased in january that tells me when the second tuesdays are going to be. Put in early, if it doens't work, try again. A deadline is a deadline. Why are you so special that they should change the rules? I've missed out, but thats my own dang ol' fault. If you are going to wait until 6:59:30pm dont complain about how the system is crashing because the rest of the people are trying to ram rod their apps through too. I got two confirmations that my app went in. The first being that the last page told me it was succussfully submitted. The second confirmation i got was the CC usage alert from my bank for the online purchase. Would an email make it any better? The other gripe i have is the G&F dept is self sustaining. It is solely funded by tag fees and grants recieved. Of course they are going to charge, and charge more. Its a business. Moreover it is a open business. They have open commission meetings. And just a fair warning.... the second tuesday of october is less than 18 weeks away, be ready.

I got a large rectangular one form sportsmans wharehouse. (the mesa store has a stack of them behind the cash registwers next to the jrkey stand). They are rated for 0 degrees and have done me well on my hunts and camping trips. I can fit me and the dog curled up a my feet in the bottom of mine. ha ha. they run 54.99 and two zip togethor make a queen sized bed, for those trips with your wife. Ive been taught, "rating +20". so if the bag is rated down to 20 degrees, you can really only sleep comfortably down to 40 before the cold will take over. http://www.sportsmanswarehouse.com/sportsmans/TETON-Sports-Sportsmans-0-degree-Rectangle-Sleeping-Bag/productDetail/Rectangular-Bags/prod99990134257/cat100842 is a link to the bag

i put in on friday for deer and turkey for the four of my gang... no problems on either tag. There isnt a confirmation email, the confirmation comes in the "finish process" or what ever its called. the last screen is the confirmation and it gives you the chance to print it. I know it went through because i got the charge from my bank a minute or so after hitting ok on the g&F page
