We tarted splurging, and rent an airbnb for the weekend. It was too difficult to get up the hill.... wander for hours wainting for the wife and MIL to "not that one" for hours and then drive back down. ha ha

Well, thats super cool to get kids back into things like this... I dont know of any, but if you're not to worried about asking in person... I know there's a xouple of places out in coolidge that you could stop by and knock on the door to see if they would be willing to set something up. I know some of the arenas have team roping and such on the weekends. (non competition, just like minded people hanging out). on the north end of coolidge https://www.lonestarequestrian.com/ between coolidge and I-10 (highway 87 and Houser) Top Hand tack shop +15055159048 (there's always guy out there cutting cows and roping when i go out to 37a for Javelina)

Thanks for that. Spent my time in 4a as a "rider" to a cow tag making mental notes of where to go back up
-
rained hard enough on 4a to cost a day of the cow hunt.

Marriage! its a trap, dont fall for it. Just kidding. I did get married later in life (mid 30s), then the kid/family/time obligations went through the roof. Took the step son out a few times, but never really took hold for him. In the beginning there was a lot of questionable conversations of "it's not your tag, but you still have to go?" lol. The new life goal is Starlink, then we can both go not that the kids are older and starting to be more independent. (she can work while im out, then spend time around the campfire)

if you cant get them, rugged maps are pretty cool. I know you wanna stock up for your store. but that might be an easy alternative. look for the videos of the stuff online. they use what i describe as a "table cloth" material. One video, the guy uses it for putting meat on after he got his elk. then it washes off and hangs it to dry then packs it away

sams had them a while ago for $100. at one point they were on sale for $75

Same but different... if you're just looking for cell service. My brother runs the Weboost cell phone extender. (there's one for sale in the classifieds here). At turkey camp, he would kick it on when we were out and about. He ventures out all over southern az and seems to do ok. I know in the spots he had it running, when i had no service years before, i had full bars. I think it consumes quite a bit of power, so they recommend not leaving it plugged in, or running a dual battery setup.

^^^^ This. lol. Happy wife, happy life. My wife is an a self employed accountant, so no workie = no money. We took the kids and stayed in a rv park in cottonwood (with an exchange student). When we were there i was talking to one of the "neighbors" who was in from Oregon. He had starlink on his trailer for his travels. He said it was better than his home internet. It's pretty cool. My goal, is to get starlink (or the wife will and write it off). Im with some of the other guys, "no wires and enjoy nature"... but if we do get it, then the wife can come do her thing when im out for the day and then we can enjoy the campfire and actual camping in the evenings. There's two different versions, as mentioned. We're looking into the roam version

game and fish used to operate azaccessmap.com.... but i think it got shut down. It was a pretty cool mapping tool that had their and other watr catchments. onx has some
-
and here i was gonna say drag the trailer to cottonwood and shell out a whoppin $50 a night and be at the campground on the verde with javelina walking through. but pinkies up .... you do you... Just kidding. Have a nice trip and visit. Hit the Coffee pot up for breakfast and one of the 100 omelets they got

We always stop in at Park Plaza Liquor and Deli. They have a full service restaurant and they make a pretty good pizza

i seen the thread and the my curiosity got the better of me. ha ha. My mom grew up on rabbits as a kid. I found this site: https://www.hostilehare.com/ I am pretty sure he's down here in the valley though. He's got everything you might need to get started. Breeders, cages, and even just meat if you wanna try it I also agree with Schmitty... but yuma might be a bit of a stretch. Reach out to the local Ag instructor at the high school near you. They might have a contact and help a kid out

the lil tire shop i frequent sent me to A-1 Auto and Muffler. they do alignments too though. 4809830068 AJ Ironwood and the trail) 4x4 ram 2500. they only charged me $80 and gave me a print out of what they found and the specs they set it to in the end.

Well, the wife said I either need to win the lottery or sell the project... So here we are. Bought this for the stepson's first vehicle, but he's done with it and I can't afford to do what I want with it (full restoration).. Nice little get around 4x4. Pdl pw, auto 2.9 V6. 231k we had a new headliner put in, refreshed the springs went through the cooling system. New stereo system. Installed newer seats and a center console. The bad: ac works but the compressor leaks so that needs replaced. Has the infamous Ford steering column from the early 80s so the previous owner put a universal ignition switch in. Still be a nice starter truck, off-road get around, or decent little truck. $5500 obo. Hit me up if you got any questions VID_20240114_124824828.mp4
