I saw 3 boxes of Wby 300 mag brand 180 gr at cabelas last week. 27.00.... yes that is right! Looks like im going to Cabelas!!!! and GO DEVILS!!!!!

Just a lil warning for those of you who may be purchasing bullets in the near future...... PRICES ARE OUTRAGEOUS! Last night i was on my way home from my parents house in Globe, and decided to make a quick stop at the Sportsmans Warehouse in what would be my last chance to get supplies for my elk hunt this week end . I needed bullets for my 300 weatherby mag, and ended up also picking up a new pack. Well i made i there an hour before closing, checked out the packs, picked my favorite and headed to the bullets. I was in total shock to find that a box of federal 180 gr. 300 wthby mags were going for $64. thats only 20 rounds! they had 220 round nose for 40, but i was already sighted in for that load. So just beaware, and shop around if you have time. I unfortunately have to get a ton of school work, and do alot of studying for upcoming finals before the hunt and didnt have that chance. As i now sit here in the library at ASU, i see that the 5 minutes I spent writing this could have been used to make a trip to bass pro.... time management is what its all about! I have an up coming Elk hunt, and im all set and confident in my Weatherby 300 mag cartridges. But heres where my problems arise, my dad asked me to pick him up a box of shells. So i got to thinking, Whats the best brand to try out for this elk hunt remington corelock, Wincesters? theres alot of choices out there. Do any of you have a prefered pick. By the way he will be shooting his trusty ol 30-06. that might be important. And I asked him what he wanted and he threw it all back on me.

Ive been uo once, and i need to get up there Alot more! I drive a silver 03 silverado. But more then likely we will be in my dads 06 white silverado with a marcanti electric sticker on the side.

I got drawn for bull and i cant wait. Ive been waiting for this hunt forever it seems. I recently moved from globe to chandler for college and i really need some time out in the woods if you know what i mean. Im just so excited i needed to vent a little. Good luck on your upcoming hunts.

Did you guys see the story they just aired about an archery hunter North of Flag shooting a bull elk in some ones back yard? There was a no hunting sign, but there wasnt a no treaspassing sign. If that makes any differance. I personally dont think it does. Whats your View on the whole situation.

They are every where!! A freind of mine was driving from payson to globe last night, and he said he saw 9 in the middle of the road during the trip. Nothing makes me run faster then an unexpected rattle. I could be a track star if they had a rattler at every race!

Well i Shure am glad i got a big response out of this topic. haha! Quail season opens friday so theres some more opportunities! And As long as they arent like tysons story put them up. If its a story like tysons......PLEASE DONT TELL ME!

Whats the weirdest thing or animal you have come upon while hunting or out scouting? I thought about this while reading the form and hearing someone metion the white turkeys in 23. To this day that is one of the strangest thing ive seen, but im still young. Anyone see albino deer of something to that nature. Post pics if you got em'. Just thought it would be interesting to go off on a tangent and hear some stories. Mark

The pinal mountains by globe is a good area, but they are usually packed! other then that, i cant give you any thing else

I Guess it was about a month or so ago my dad and I were camping and fishing up at hurricane lake in the White Mountains. We woke up every morning to bugling bulls. It was great to hear them even tho we knew we will never get to hunt them. Inless of course we find an extra $30,000 or so laying around to go on a WMAT Elk hunt!
