king4wd and I went out to call some foxes and too our surprise we had no problem hitting the magical number 20 mark for foxes called this year. The first fox came in on my side and quickly disappeared to king4wds sights and it was good night for the fox, that was the second stand of the day and fox number twenty for king4wd. He had to shoot through some shrubs but he rolled the fox with one shot. We got the second fox in at just a few minutes on the third stand, he came in close and fast, he jumped up on a rock just a few feet in front of me and as he turned to jump on the the next rock realized there were two hunters there! That fox and I locked eyes and before he was able to sit in my lap like I was a santa breakfast, I fired off a round, ultimately that little guy took 2 20gauge and on 12 gauge shots to go down. We both took shots at one other fox each, and tracked good blood for a quarter mile each then called it quits, as we had more calling to do. (how embarrassing to miss a fox at 10 feet). The second to last stand of the day we called in a double and they spotted us quickly, king4wd got two rounds off but the fox was so far out it was a "long shot". Good day and finished the year with 23 foxes called in for king4wd, and a new fox honey hole.
