question on how to best preserve meat in the field
Santana Outdoors replied to JLW's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
All great information. I also use this to help when it is hot and I do not think I will be able to get it on ice or cooled down as quick as I want. http://www.trophybagkooler.com/gamefreshspray.html you might want to read this to understand why. http://www.trophybagkooler.com/silentsecret.html -

Please pray for the Barr's in Payson, their son Michael Tyler Barr died unexpectedly this morning in California. He was out there working. Michael was an outstanding athlete at Payson High School, my kids friend, our friend and a great young man. He died way to young. He will be missed way more than he ever could have thought. The Barr's are a great family that we go to church with and just need a lot of prayers right now to get them through this tough time. Thanks and God bless. Eric

Doesn't it feel like time to go scouting, hunting or just camping when the Monsoon season hits? Today our temp went from 95 to 70 in 10 minutes. I just love living up here in the Mountains. God, thank you.

Alaskan Black Bear
Santana Outdoors replied to lucky2hunt's topic in Black Bear or Grizzly Bear hunts
Looks like an awesome adventure. Thanks for sharing. Makes me wish I was there! -
We produced this chapter one video for Ron Price and Gino Wullkotte. Gino took almost 30 hours of footage from Africa, wow! This is the first of about 6 chapters. If you could watch all the footage he took, you could almost understand what it took for him to be able to get what he did. I know I couldn't of held out that long. Great job Gino and some awesome footage. The first video on Vimeo is in High Definition (click on the little arrows to watch in full screen), if you do not have a powerful graphics card on your computer it will seem blurred in spots. So I also posted a clip on Youtube, but Youtube only allows 10 mins so the first part is missing. We will begin offering a service to produce hunting videos in HD that are exciting to watch. If you yourself or know of anyone interested in wanting to capture that once in a lifetime hunt on video please let us know. This first chapter is of Gino and Ron's encounter with an elephant where they became the hunted! Hope you enjoy, Eric http://www.paysonoutfitters.com/servlet/th...-Once-in/Detail

I headed out Friday morning (by myself) and packed into the Wilderness area to check on my game cameras that have been out there for a year. I also wanted to put up a Moultrie I45 with a modem and a solar panel. The last time I was in there I had cell service and was hoping it would pick up this modem and send me photos everyday. I left at 5am in the morning and finally got to my camp site at noon. It was way to hot for me to head up the mountain to check on the cameras. So I waited until the next day. Luckily my camp is near water so I could cool down. Saturday morning I got up early and headed up to the top of the hill ( a 2 hour hike) , set up the camera and then called my wife to check the website to see if she got any photos, None she said. So after messing with it for an hour I finally figured out it just wasn't going to work with AT&T. I have Verizon cell. Yeah, I was pretty bummed. So I left there and went and checked my other cameras, they have been there for a year. No monster Coues but captured some of the photos below. Then I went back to camp relaxed the rest of the day, then headed home the next day. As I started going through the photos, I forgot to delete this first photo from my SD card so when I opened it I almost stroked before remembering I borrowed it from the internet. So for those who don't read this story first LOL! Should have read the story first! Thanks for looking.
