That is awesome. Those squirrels are cool looking. I wish I would of whacked a couple before I left AZ. Our tree rats don't look that good in VA. -

Great video! Loved the over the shoulder footage. Congrats to the hunter!!!!!!!! -
I've got a TruGlo 7 pin with 0.19 pins on it. It is bright and has held up great. I've had it on my bow for 6 years and it hasn't budged at all. 7 Deadly Pins is a sweet sight too though, just a little pricey....$0.02

Left eye dominant right handed
afmalinois replied to apache12's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Biker, Try shoot the M4 with both eyes open. Those red dot scopes are made to be shot with both eyes open, but you can shoot them with the dominant. If i were you I would stay away from canting the rifle and bending your neck to an uncomfortable position or anything else that my feel weird. Just open both eyes with the red dot! -
"Hey guys, look at my ivory!" too cool

Left eye dominant right handed
afmalinois replied to apache12's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I do everything left handed (write, eat, throw, bat....), except shoot (bows, rifles, pistols...you name it). It was hard for me to pick up at first because I was used to doing everything with my left hand. I was still too young at the time to really know about my strong eye (which is my right). My dad told me that he wasn't going out to buy my special left handed guns and bows and that I had better learn to shoot his or get a job. Since I was probably 10 when he told me this, I adapted and over came! Give the boy a right handed gun show him how to use it and practice, practice, practice. He'll never know the difference. Let him worry about shooting off hand when he's older and more skilled, and it will come to him much easier! But then again, like everyone else....my .02. -
Try to tag along with someone with experience and soak up their knowledge!!! That's how I got started on the obsession of coues!

I killed deer this past season with a Tekan and a Schwacker. Neither of them went more than 30 yds. Both fly true out to whatever range you have on your stack.

Great buck and mount!

I had a friend whose F-250 was stolen a couple years ago in Avondale. They found it on the border three days later and it was destroyed. Insurance ended up totaling it. It was unbelievable the amount of punishment that the truck took in three days before it was abandoned when it ran out of fuel. I was trying to find the pictures that I had of his truck but they are on my old computer... Sorry to hear how common this type of crime is and how many people are affected by it.

I need some advice for my 9 month old Lab pup
afmalinois replied to klrogers's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
TJ you are right on point with your posts as well. Shock collars are great tools and I have used them a time or two with dogs that were too stubborn with bite work. I have seen them used as a reward as well. Its all about how you manipulate them. The problem I see arising with shocking her for chasing the truck is, where is she going to run to next if she is already going into avoidance while she is out running. Most likely she wont go into her pen (yet), so it might create another problem. Gotta love dog training, fix one thing and a handful of new issues come up! -

I have had this problem with a few of my working dogs. They are great on leash and doing obedience and detection or patrol work, however when they got some freedom they come back on their terms. The one thing that I will say is to keep it positive. No matter how upset you get with the running and avoiding you, praise her when she finally does come to you and praise her for going into her house. Keep the kennel a positive place as well. Don't toss her in there and storm off because you are mad. That is her house and there should be nothing but happy thoughts when it comes to going in there. Take her in the kennel and play with her or just to love on her. Hang out in there, it sounds big enough for a basketball game, and try to make her house somewhere she wants to be. I know its frustrating when dogs do there own thing and you want something else to happen, but they have a reason for the actions that they are displaying. The shock collar could work as well, but they can back fire pretty quick if your timing isn't right. I'd say positive reinforcement will work just fine for you. In time it will all click in her head and this problem will be gone, but three more will arise. I love working with dogs, I learn something new every single day. Hope this helps! -Adam -
I haven't shot the T3 but I killed 2 does last season in Va with the Tekan. Opened them wide with the entry and the exit. Neither one went more than 20 yds.

Those are some great speed goats! And the Chris Ledoux soundtrack was an added bonus when I hit play....NICE!
