WELL ITS A GREAT START TO A NEW YEAR! WENT OUT THIS MORNING WITH MY COUSIN VINCE TO UNIT 41 TO KILL MY JAVELINA AND WE GLASSED EM UP RIGHT AWAY FEEDING, SO WE SET OUR GAME PLAN AND STALKED 6 OF THEM GETTING 40 YDS FROM ALL OF THEM. AS SOON AS THE PIG GAVE ME A BROADSIDE SHOT I DREW AND PLUGGED HIM. THEY ALL BOOGERED INTO THE COTTON FIELDS (4 FEET HIGH) SO WE WAITED KNOWING I MADE A GOOD SHOT. WE MAKE OUR WAY INTO THE FIELD AND FIND HIS BLOOD TRAIL AS WE FOLLOW IT I GET DOWN TO LOOK DOWN A LANE AND THERE HE IS LIMPING AWAY (MY ARROW WENT THROUGH HIM AND BROKE THE OPPOSITE SHOULDER) SO WE MAKE OUR WAY TO HIM AND PUSH HIM OUT OF THE FIELD TO THE FIELDS EDGE, I PEEK AROUND AND SPOT HIM 20 YDS OUT I PUT THE PIN ON HIM AND THE REST IS HISTORY! HES A BEAUTIFUL BOAR DOING A LIFESIZE ON THIS ONE. THANK YOU TO MY COUSIN VINCE FOR HELPING OUT. WE WILL BE OUT IN 20C NEXT WEEKEND TO GET HIS PIG KEEP YOU GUYS POSTED. HAPPY HUNTING

Well i tell you what it was one heck of a hunt, by far the best one ive been on yet! Clay ozzie and i got to our glassing point and glassed the bucks within 3 min. As clay said we got in on them and and put em down! I shot my buck in the back hoof on the first shot at 400 yds and then put another in him a little too far back and he bedded up in a juniper. Well clay went to go get his deer and me and ozzie took off after mine,clay told us to be ready because my deer is gonna be alive. So we get up to the juniper and there he is looking straight at me i reload and put a final shot in him at 10 yds. He scored 92" gross with great character. Not bad for my first coues.what a great hunt 3 deer in 24 hours. (my cousins also killed a couple bulls on opening day also ill post those soon.) there is a pic of our buddy ozzies deer also from this morning.

here are some better pics of my buck and clay and ozzies deer bleached out ready for there plaques. Thanks for all the good feedback i love my trophy cant wait to mount it.

yup here is a photo of what i had to work with.

This buck was a pick up. The antlers were bleached white and the critters were chewing on them. So i rebuilt the antlers stained em ordered a cape and mounted it. Not a bad find.
