    unit 35A

I guided a client in 35a during the first hunt. We hunted 6 days and glassed a total of 34 different bucks. I bet we saw over 100 deer during the 6 days, I did see a good number of bucks from the mid 90's to the biggest being about 112 or so. I can say this look for mountain mahogany!!!!!!!!!!

    Feeders in AZ

I guess the major question to you here is…………, are you rifle or archery hunting? I would have to venture to say that if you are rifle hunting you might as well be hunting over the water a ¼ mile is only 440 yards and I know that’s like shooting a bow at approximately 45 yards. If your archery hunting then I’m sure you’re concentrating on trails leading to the water. So in that case the water would be your attractant. If you are hunting in a area that produces lots of small springs that’s good for you , but keep in mind not every mountain range has that privilege All I’m saying is it’s ok to state your opinion but you and everyone else needs to reframe from calling names. One other thing you need to remember is ……we all need to water it’s our life blood but we don’t have to eat at Mc Donalds that’s our choice.

    Feeders in AZ

STR8Shot Lets not get into the issues of lenders and banks that another debate of its own. Please remember we are all sportsman no matter how you look at it. Our license and tag fees help pay for the management of game animals here in the great state of Arizona. I would venture to say that in years past we had more rain than in the past 10 years and water in most areas used to bubble from the ground, but it seems times have changed at least for now. I can say for a fact that in unit 11m while elk hunting on the east side of the unit if it weren’t for water catchments there wouldn’t have been any water at all. All the water tanks and springs were dry. To be honest with you I can’t believe you would say nothing is needed, again you are very wrong and no matter how hard you try you will not win that debate, I’ll leave it at that. Again if it’s legal have at it and have fun doing it. please answer this question Do you infact hunt water holes?????Thanks Steven

    Feeders in AZ

The animals belong to the stewards of the state. G&F dose not own them neither do the private land owners. Feeders are legal in the state of Arizona, the only animals you cannot bait in Arizona are migratory game birds and bears. If you are a hunter that thinks feeders and food plots are cheating then you better not hunt water holes or trick tanks because they are not natural. You all keep saying that mother nature provides all the animals need, well my friend your wrong. Without man made water holes and water catchments. Every animal in the state of Arizona would suffer. All I can say is if it is legal then let it be at that, don’t judge one another because of their hunting style. I don’t like fords or dodges but I don’t bash you because you drive one. Steven Ward

    What's Up With The Signs

What’s up with fish and game posting private land with no hunting signs. These signs are small aluminum signs that READ NO HUNTING PRIVATE LAND AND HAVE THE GAME AND FISH LOGO ON THEM. Why is it they are using our money to post private land. This really makes me upset because the land they are posting we don’t even get access to the land locked public land that is blocked by it. Just want to know what you all think about this and If you have seen these signs . and what units

    What's Up With The Signs

so your telling me that you can pick and choose who get access through your property , even though the game and fish have it posted for you, with our signs !!!
  16. wardsoutfitters

    What's Up With The Signs

I don’t want access or need access through their property. And I know that access is restricted to these areas. The land owner picks and chooses who he is going to let have access.. If we’re going to post his said property then anyone with a hunting license should get access.

Wards outfitters is holding out on us

I would like to thank everyone for not posting the pictures of this buck until I received permission from Rick Valdez the hunter. Unlike other sites that posted the pictures everyone on this site can respect the privacy of others. This says a lot for the serious hunters that are members of Coueswhitetail.com.The story of this buck is pretty amazing. This buck was harvested at 62 yards on a spot and stalk hunt. I really don’t know what to say, he is a absolute monster and the pictures do him no justice.

    Juniors-only hunts

I think the Jr. hunts are a asset to the future of hunting nationwide. I think the minimum age of 10 Is a good starting point although my son has been shooting and hunting small game since he was 5 years old and just this past year he harvested a coues deer in Mexico at the age of 8. My only opposition to the Jr. hunts is the maximum age of a Jr. hunter I personally think that the Jr. max age should be 16 years of age. I feel this way because I have seen on a number of occasions Jr. hunters in the field that were hunting on their own at the ages of 17and 18. I also think that if you are hunting on a Jr. hunt the Jr. should be accompanied by one of their family members such as a parent or grandparent .

    Antler Growth

Myself and two of my guides went out to check some trail cameras we set a few weeks back, you know how it is your all excited about what you might have a picture of, then you walk up and you guessed it, bears, yes that’s right bears they always seem to molest my cameras, and it couldn’t have been a week or two into taking pictures. It just had to be the first dang day on both of them, so I have pictures of bears and over 1000 of nothing but moving trees. Well the morning wasn’t a total loss we glassed up over 30 bucks and found a few small sheds. I took pictures of the best buck we spotted and it’s obvious they still have over a month of growing to do. I watched this buck last year and I know he is going to be better this year. I can’t wait to send a few clients after this toad.
