Inverter 3 balde "TRI-VERTER"
wardsoutfitters replied to wardsoutfitters's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
I would have to diagree . the o-ring will not effect your arrow speed enought that you would be able to tell. if that was the case your arrow with broadheads would never hit the same as your feild tips. also most of the noise you hear from your arrow is the fletching. also its hard to make a mechanical head without the o-ring due to patents . -

Coach your concerns are legit. MOST broadheads fly a little different because when you add length to your arrow you chance the FOC" front of center". they also have add more drag to the arrow causing them to fly a little low. If you would like to try some send me your address to trophyhunts@wardsoutfitters.com and I will send a couple out. -

The advantage is a 1.5" mechanical head when fully deployed. You would have a heck of a time trying to get a fixex head to fly if it was 1.5"s of exposed blade -

we do need testers . We have shot them into ply wood and they hold up like the 2 blade . If you are interested in field testing them please contact me 520-404-5114 Steven -

Just got back. We looked for birds in 30 foot of water, ran 2-5' white crank baits , and also 3" white swim baits. We did well catching 16 this morning. best just over three #'s. forget what you think you know about bass fishing and look for deep water with lots of birds, If you hang around enough you'll see small boils.

I will show broadhead flight tests this next week. as far as bending blades It's hard to do but I will try to find something to shoot it into to bend them. Steven -
Inverter Broadhead test #2 Cinder Block
wardsoutfitters replied to wardsoutfitters's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
as for gelatin test they show nothing due to the fact that there is shaft pinch, the bigger the hole on the entrance side of the gelatin the deeper it will penetrate "less resistance on the shaft" you can't tell me that a field tip won't out penetrate a broadhead but in gelatin the broadhead will out penetrate the field tip because there is less resistance on the shaft -
Inverter Broadhead test #2 Cinder Block
wardsoutfitters replied to wardsoutfitters's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
The purpose of this test is to show durability, none other !!! If you read all the posts you will see that the broadhead flies very well out of high speed bows. I have been shooting this head out of my x-force at 80#'s with a 400 grain arrow at 356 fps and it flies great out past 100 yards. shooters must keep in mind that even field tips will not fly consistently out of bows that are not well tuned. You talk about pass through shots on elk sized game, as you know there are so many factors that weigh in on that. Kinetic energy, Shot distance, animal reaction, angle of the shot, there are too many factors for me to be able to say that everyone will get pass through shots. Your statement #3 makes very little sense to me due to the fact that every shot is different when shooting animals in a un controlled environment. Again it goes back to Kinetic energy, Shot distance, animal reaction, angle of the shot, every hunting situation is going to be different, so as hunters we need to use equipment that works good in every situation. We have to find a happy medium. -

Inverter Broadhead test #2 Cinder Block

Jim no problem we all have the right to state our opinions. The most important thing is you have to have confidence in your equipment, If there is any lack of confidence don't use it. -
Inverter Broadhead test #2 Cinder Block

I know I wasn't there but ,,,l from my opinion you made a bad shot , Most likely to high, With that said this is not a sonoran totally different. As for the 6 inches of penetration on the other bull sounds like a shoulder hit that's about all you get when you hit there. I will be the first to say that when people loose animals 99% of the time it's their own fault " poor shot placement" No matter what head they were using , It's really easy for all of us to blame our equipment and not our selves. Sorry -

Why would you not shoot these heads on elk sized game. These hunters did and were all successful. The first thing I would ask is how much energy do you shoot. These heads have been the demise of many large animals.
