here is another...anyone ever glassed up deer right below other hunters??? i'm sure there has. Well couple years ago a buddy and i were workin a finger we saw a huge buck ran up. Stopping and glassing other fingers...we saw couple doe's and one spike. Neither of us were going to shoot at it 1). Was to far. 2). Our thoughts were on the big buck... Plan A. So we keep an eye on the spike just in case we scare the big buck into the next county...just call it plan B. Plan B was spoiled after two people made there way up a road just above these 3 deer (keep in mind the hill side the deer are one has maybe 20 bushes total). They guys literaly stop right above these 3 deer...guessing 20-30 yards away. Now we are still on Plan A. These guys are now glassing a pocket in the directon we are moving..so what ever they see we will be on top of so there plan is spoiled. We never saw the big buck again...and the 3 deer w/the spike all laid down in a bush right below these guys for about 3-4 hours easy and never heard a shot....thought it was really funny and probably happened to most of us.

rechargables probably work really good ...just havent bought any. I have only used duracell for my stealth cam. Filled up my card on highest setting 2 times now in 2-3 months and batteries are still good. thats just over 4500 pictures with plenty of infrared usage.

Cool...it will be later probably mid Oct. before my hunt in 10. Bad thing is im in Tucson. Everywhere i read people have said it is a great product...I really like nikon products like i said almost everything optics wise i have in Nikon Last weekend i was helping my buddy scout for early bow...found couple nice bucks but he has that cheap $60 spotting scope from walmart...it's ok if its not raining. But when we zoomed in it got darker and you could tell that they were bucks and good size bucks just couldn't see much detail at 3/4 miles away.

well never hunted mule deer...but hunted whitetail... bout 7 years ago we were scouting the unit cause it was our first time hunting that unit....now we started at north side of the dragoons and saw few deer but ni bucks (all whitetail)....but northeast side we saw abig mulie right against the foothills..only thing is how to get to em and it was thick...there are mule deer in the flats but thick country and homes might be some of the challenge
-
+1!!! but I really enjoy unit 6A as well. Gonna hunt 27 this sept. Good luck Amanda last bulls i seen were by hannigans meadow back in mid may and they both 5x5 already...one looked like one was a 6x6...don't know if they have returned to the same spot after the fire or not...hope so. I hear thats where most the big ones come out of also
-
i like and scouted 1 and 27 he most...just casue its such a long drive to unit 10.....but after this years deer tag in unit 10 and buddies antelope tag i might have to reconsider.

i would think if you had a pictures of this big goat you'd get more responses

-
wow nice to see the forest coming back around.
-
man look at those thirds...nice bull. bear looks good to
-
i know a buddy had an antelope tag 10+ years back and they were setting up half dozen blinds up for antelope. Long story is you had to put your name and when your using it, cause anyone else can hunt that spot even in your blind....i would agree with the others probably forgot it.
