Thats funny I glassed that area for hours. just wrong place wrong time. I'll keep it in mind though. Guess my first few days just discouraged me down juan miller. Well i cant really remember off hand where we were exactly ... ... but do remember it was east side of the highway just below the rim in some hilly country.....big boys were still together in some thick stuff. I didn't have much luck in the forest on the first weekend and went down to the high desert on the second weekend. Deer population has gone down hill in 1 and 27. 20 years ago you wuld step all over deer, and now you just step all over elk. --- from what my huntin buddy says.

I hunted around juan miller and saw plenty of deer and 2 giant mulies that we couldnt get on and never showed up again the rest of the hunt.......you were just in the wrong area

there are lots of deer and lots of hunters....but many hunters dont push into to hard or even get of the road.....i know scoutibg and helping my buddy archery deer hunt in 2 canyons we saw....14 bucks....most of them forks two 3x3 and couple spikes an that is only a tiny portion but they dont need that many tags in there just makes the hunters step all ovr each other runing wachothers hunts and makes deer shut down.

Sorry to hear that.....i'm actually headed up to unit 10 next week, first time going up that far north. Haven't been in 32 in 10, maybe 11 years. But back then there was plenty of deer. I think we concentrated on the east side...but watch out for mix deer country.

bill that reminds me i saw a yote cross thorydale and horizon hills....around midnight bought 2-3 months ago.......they cruise the wash's Same with pigs.... my Mother (Same place as above) Was on her walk and there was 2 big pigs next door just diggin.
