Yup good ol' stink pig. Fun to chase with a bow! Have had many exiting chases! Don't cut the gland out much easier to take out while skinning. Put in a pit 24 hrs .... taste pretty good.

I agree.. this is tough but we all have a limited resource... If you look at the numbers for Antelope in AZ vs NM.. it really shows why AZ residents hunt in NM... In order to get a AZ Antelope tag I will need to put in 20 years for all the points... I pay 151.25 each year for a license just for the point... sooo 20 x 151.25.... So just to get one AZ goat tag I already have $3025.00 just in fees... Gov. Martinez calls those taxes.. BUT in NM for 1200 I can hunt every year... Just think all the good that 3025 could actually do for the habitat in NM if we had something similar... J To bad Az doesn't have many antelope. New Mexico has a lot of antelope ... a lot!

Took my buddy out sat. Nothing in the am cause of the wind. But shot at a small 3x3 mulie 1 minute into hunting the pm hours.....but missed right over his back. Archery** 70 yards

Ok i should have said there were couple times that i went into an area that looked promising...but let me down....and then come back a year or two later and had seen a lot more activity.

Well at least it want during a hunt and wasted a day. Have done that couple times. I wouldnt give up on it yet. Maybe next year it will be crawling with wildlife. Maybe the moved over a canyon or two. And G&F need to reduce permits all over the state.

+1 my bow is in the shop for another week - week n half.

1.) Saw the biggest whitetail ever on the black river. 2.) Seen whitetail (last year) 2 small bucks and dozen or more doe's in 37b off the arizona trail and back up further past the house on tiger mine rd ( couple big hills). You couldn't glass up a mule deer for the life of you ... but you saw coues. 3.) 2 years ago hunting pig in black mountains saw couple small - decent bucks chasing hard. Couldn't get close enough to seal the deal though.

depends on weather ...seems couple people have seen some decent bucks on doe's but nothing huge.

Neat badger. That snake was angry it was so cold he tried to get close as he could to the sun.

I haven't been out yet But if there is cold/wet weather like we have had than usually kick off earlier. Guessing pre rut is on in the southern units and full rut up north.
