how can you tell if someone has deleted images from your cam? I just checked my cam and got about a half a dozen or so blank pics. There's nothing there but a green, purple or black background. It's really weird. Or did my camera just poop out on me for a while. There were pics before and after the blank images.

thx. i hope you are right.

to give up some rights. A good politician will never miss an opportunity to capitalize on a tragedy and take away some rights. All that said, my heart bleeds for the victims families.

Hey look, obama and that what's his name congressman from illinios couldn't wait for the parents to bury the dead before bringing up more gun ban junk. so, if the prez can do it, so can I.

i agree 100% with you, but with the tone of the article we're all just out there blazing away at the park and hanging stands in backyards...

right now the payson roundup is running a slanderous front page against hunters. One of the interviewed men in the article claims to be a hunter, yet makes many inaccurate assumptions about bowhunting, including that it is a dangerous activity and an could hit a bystander. There are so many assumptions to this article that it is ridiculous, including the fact the injured animal the man found was caused by a bowhunter. PLEASE SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT!!! Please comment on the article and correct the two ignorant men and write the roundup and give them a good scolding for putting hunters in a bad light.

Big and Wide, Wifes 2012 Buck

glad to see that it's the deer that's big and wide, and not your wife. congrats! -
i want to shoot a big deer, so you're not allowed to shoot a small one. brilliant!
-
Oh good grief. this makes me sick. I'm gonna shoot whatever i want as long as it's legal. You can't eat antlers, and the youngun's sure are tasty. I could care less how big the antlers are on somebody's deer. If they're happy with it, that's all that matters. If you're holding out for 120, good luck! If you're holding out for a spike, then good luck! You need to go back to SanFrancisco where you belong, and dig into a veggie burger with a side of sea kelp and wash it down with organic green tea. Hey, ducks don't have antlers, is it ok to shoot them? Hey, i think i'm gonna tune into duck dynasty, i wonder what Phil would have to say about this? Does a steak from a 120 inch buck taste better than a steak from a fork-horn?

Frustrated Archery Elk Hunter Any advice, words of wisdom
bojangles replied to RoughCut's topic in Elk Hunting
here's a story for ya. My buddy shot a bull a few years back, a good, old one. I went and looked with him, and we found nothing but blood for about a hundred hards and it dried up. A few months later another buddy had a rifle tag for the same unit and shot the same bull, and cut his hand on the broadhead when he was dressing him. The broadhead was in the vitals, but the blood had coagulated around it, and healed over. sometimes perfect isn't good enough. but personally, i think you can't have you broadheads too sharp. and i think it may have played a factor in this story. good luck, keep looking. -
congrats! that's the tag i didn't get. lol...

i shoot an x3. love it.

that's funny cuz my grandpa wrote a song called "down on the blue" back in the '20s. He grew up in Springerville. But the song has been lost.
-
does it get any better? congrats!!

Hey, i got an idea, lets sell 1200 plus rifle tags for unit 22, introduce wolves, and tell hunters they can't bait because they are killing too many deer. yeah. that makes sense.

sweet!

hey, at this point in my hunting career, if it's brown, it's down!! or gray, in this case. maybe some day i'll trophy hunt, but right now i just like gettin' out there and killin' deer, and puttin' food on the table.
-
man i wish i could be there to put my two cents in. baiting makes it possible for me to hunt with the idea of being successful. I don't always use bait, but sometimes it's nice to have a cornpile in the woods so you can hunt after or before work. I don't have enough savings to be able to take off 2 or 3 weeks from work to chase deer. Sometimes it's easier to get the deer to come to you. Really, it's a financial decision for me. I just can't afford to miss work. It seems the complaint is that hunters are too successful. But i've never heard anyone say the whitetial numbers are down. I sure don't have any problems finding bucks. There seems to be plenty to go around, so why is being successful bad? We've lost the december hunt in 22 and 23, because of success, now baiting too? seriously, it sounds like they don't want us to be successful. i could go on...
