it took me months to find a good deal on a used stihl. ebay was high as a kite, and CL was trashed. finally found an 310 on a facebook site. it is beastly. just cut several chords of oak/juniper. unbelievable. i had an echo 370 before i bought the stihl. i was pleased with the echo, but the bar was chincy, and vibrated a lot, and was a little underpowered for big game.

Finally waterfowl regs
bojangles replied to ThomC's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
is there no special goose season for 22 this year? I couldn't find it on the paper regs from walmart. i'd love to hunt waterfowl this year, but I drew a late elk tag, then archery deer is in January....it's tough. and then the nincompoops from g&f close off Roosevelt as soon as the first goose shows up. but then somebody told me the south end of the lake is always open. is this true??? -
OK since items growing, how about mostly non hunt related clothing.

Who's Not Afraid to Hunt Down South?
bojangles replied to John O's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
i haven't hunted down south since 06. shot a tiny muley in 30b. saw 1 illegal and he was nervous as a chicken in a foxfarm, me with 12 guage in tow chasing a few quail over lunch. i wouldn't be scared. i think the coyote might mess his pants if he saw me in his general vicinity. -
the 30.06 has cheaper ammo, i've found, and that counts for something if you're buying your ammo. plus, if you ever venture into northern territories it would do for an elk rifle.

pm sent. oh, hey, look, i see your number. i'll call.

i'm clean shaven at the moment, but could look like a civil war general by tuesday if i wanted. i usually don't let it go until i'm actually on the hunt. i do wear some abbreviated "chops" year round however. my beard is somewhere between rattlesnake fangs and a prickely pear cactus. so the wife doesn't like me to have it all the time, but she does like the way it looks.

dewalt has been sold, also.
