    Gotta vent!

i was gonna write this epic post, but TJ nailed it. that said, i would never sit someone else's blind or stand, nor would i ever remove their blind from the woods, even if it was just a popup blind. how selfish would that be?

    Meeting the In-Laws.....

Cool. i'll probably watch that one day. Talked to many people who have, and they seemed to enjoy it. I go to AZOSA meeting that discess such topics, in further detail and more specifics. Thanks! Monday i went to hear an MD professor speak, before that it was a state geologist, before that it was a professional biologist for the zoo's in phoenix; they all discussed problematic things w/ evolution. Nye/ and Ham are TV celebrity scientist, who are interesting; but AZOSA brings real scientist who are currently working in the forefront of science and technology to speak on such issues. You'd be surprised how many real scientists there are who don't believe in evolution. I would encourage you to go to an AZOSA meetings, even if you don't agree, they are so fascinating. But i don't hang my hat on science, it always changes. I'm looking for something that is more solid. What "they" dont talk about is all the byproducts of science, to me, it seems like science is busy fixing the problems it has caused. Last week on Yahoo news there was an article that linked childhood shots directly with autism, ADHD, and other mental illnesses. So polio is down, but autism is up. Hooray, things like malaria and yellow fever are rare, but cancer and dementia are prolific and common. We have cell phones, but air polution is bad. Are rivers and streams and woods are in danger, but i have gps. Alzheimers. Heart disease. It goes on. Sceince fixes one and creates 5 more problems. I'm not knocking science, I'm just not worshipping it. There comes a day when science will fail you. But i have found that Jesus never fail. So still, you know, I can't force anyone to believe. I wouldn't even try. But like i said, i'm a Baptist. Baptists founded the colony of Rhode Island in the New World, for the express purpose of having a colony where you didn't have to participate in religious practices to live there, unlike the more popular Massachusettes and Virginia. And i still hold to that. The choice to believe or not to believe is entirely up to you.

    Meeting the In-Laws.....

The great thing about science is, it's true whether you believe in it or not. lol, the other funny thing about science is that it always changes. just when they tell you know have it down, somebody else comes up with a new theory and debunks the old one. i just can't come to grips that there is no God, and what's more, I know for sure there is a devil. There is so much pure and unadulterated evil in the world it's crazy. You don't have to look far to see the devil. And if there is a devil, there better be a God out there somewhere.

    Meeting the In-Laws.....

Last night i went to hear a MD professor talk about intelligent design in the birth process. it was absolutely fascinating. The discussion was about how the human heart could not evolve. Things like laminar (sp) blood flow (different oxygenated blood and less oxygenated blood flowing different directions to different places at the same time in the same vein) the development of vessels to the lungs during the birth process, development of heart valves etc. couldn't evolve. They have to be there in place fully functioning or life ends instantaneously. Last month i went to hear a geologist talk about the 1 year development of the grand canyon. It was fascinating. So, i'm a believer. I choose the Baptist theology, which pretty much says you can't force someone to believe. Kids included. So, man, i wish you guys would believe. For me, it's so clear. For others, i guess not. I guess i became a believer because of this one fact, I refuse to believe that you and I are accidents. And if we are here on purpose, i had to find out what that purpose was. But it's true, if you try to force someone to believe, they really don't believe. It's voluntary or it's fake.
  11. first time i've ever seen a sock monkey hat on the forum. congrats!
  12. it's like this, if jeremy at chasin' a dream outfitters doesn't have it, and i can't find it at a yardsale, i don't need it. I routinely take me kids to bass pro, take advantage of every free thing they have, and walk out the door and don't spend a dime. they don't need my money.

    Responsible Gun Owner

all true. my sister in laws brother died at the ripe old age of 12 after a gun accident in the home. he's not coming back. On the other hand, my neighbor almost died because he couldn't get his safe open to get to his ammo while my other neighbor was swinging an ax at him. So you have to find a way to be ready AND keep children positively safe at the same time.
