Cattlemen no longer follows the old overgrazing model. They found out overgrazing was bad, and fixed it. Like 40 years ago.

What you Californian hippies don’t understand, is the people who have lied to you to get you to be against cattle on public lands, are against hunting as well. Siding with them is suicide. When they get rid of the cattle, they will get rid of you. You are pawns.

So, My BIL works for the USDA as a watershed manager in southern new mexico. the feds keep a close eye on available water, and who gets what, and how much there is to go around, and so on and so forth. they wouldn't renew grazing permits, or issue them, if the water wasn't there to support them and wildlife. it's very scientific and mathematical. the sky is not falling, because there is cattle on public lands.

Well, you’re wrong.

While certain not a long range gun, it completely liquifies the innards of deer, and mostly they drop in their tracks, but I did see one take as much as 2 steps once.

I’m not sure why the bee isn’t more popular. It’s a devastating round on deer sized game and under.

Looks like I have one used one left. Your more than welcomed to it, if you’re headed to the Payson area. Could be used for practice. I thought i had more, but I guess not.

Cattle aren’t allowed to overgraze anymore. That is the great myth of the OP.

looking for recommendations for laminate flooring
bojangles replied to SpotNStalk's topic in The Campfire
I own a flooring store in Payson. Make sure you go with something that has limestone polymer core, and either a urethane bead or acrylic finish. There is nothing better on the market right now than Paradigm waterproof flooring. I like coretec spec, also. I’ll try to get you a deal if you shop with me, but the good stuff ain’t cheap. Heres my house I did in paradigm 2 weeks ago. -
Yep, I sold out to sunshine cleaning systems. Wish I could help you, but had to sign a non compete.

Stopping Grizzly Bear with a 10MM Carbine

Is there a link that’s missing? -
That group is shading the truth, the ranch in question is bar x.they work pretty close with different wildlife organizations from around here to keep waters going and get new waters going. The documents they provide from the 70’s is definitely not how things are done anymore.all ranches have a rest rotation system that prevents over grazing this is a text I got this morning regarding this thread from a rancher/hunter from unit 23. I don’t think he’ll mind if I share it.

I’m for cattle. some years I get skunked and still want a steak.

Cash price?

I agree. While there are mule deer scattered through the entire unit, they do seem to be pocketed holding to particular canyons and foothills. I’d look for areas that have decent year round water sources in the desert. i have the best luck in fingered foothills and canyons that have a lot of texture.

I could use those. Not sure what arrangement could be made. I am in Payson.
