I’m going with a young earth creation, seems to make more sense to me. I tried to explain to a climate scientist one time that the polar icecaps can’t melt because the earth tilts on its axis, and it is cold and dark at the poles in their respective winters , because of this. This tilt will always create winter. she didn’t get it. lol. Time proved me right, as the polar icecaps didn’t melt. They still drive trucks on the ice.

Speaking of, has anyone been following the clay newcomb bear grease podcast on poaching stings? It’s fascinating. They also interviewed one of the poachers, who is now complete reformed.

So, I have this sfp vortex scope, it’s a strike eagle, 3x18, and I’ve recently learned that the hold over marks (don’t know what they are called?) change size with magnification adjustments. And, that they are only true to proportion on the highest magnification setting. So, what is the ratio I can expect when I dial the magnification back? I’ve been told that the 1 moa lines become 2 moa at 9 power. So, I’d like to know ratios at 3,6,9,12,and 15 power so I can make quick holdover decisions in the field. so, I wound up killing an elk last fall with this rifle, not knowing this information. I backed off the scope a little bit, used hash marks, but I hit the elk about a foot high at 478 yards. I was sighted in at 200. But the elk dropped in his tracks, with the high shoulder hit. Can anyone confirm this, and what might the true ratios be ant different magnification setting?

That’s what i thought…thanks for the input.

Take the desert to tall pines scenic highway, drive up 87, drop in from the top and come out in globe. Have a steak at the antler in young on your way through. Or you could enter via the chamberlain trail in Chris creek to keep it interesting.

Meateater podcast had the judge that caught these dudes on last week. Interesting. Not as interesting as the ftx debacle, but still interesting.

I was just thinking about that yesterday. If I could only run a trap line….

After a couple of elk and mule deer, my son decided to chase white tails this year. We put away our glasses and still hunted a creek bottom. We got really close to a lot of deer in a pretty short amount of time. We caught this guy snacking on acorns with a couple of other smallish bucks. He was hiding behind a tree, and I could barely see antlers poking out. When the other deer decided to bolt, I told my son to get ready and shoot as soon as he stepped out. Well, after about a minute of peeking around the tree at us, he got nervous and decided to make a run for it. My son took a heart shot at 40 yards, and blew his heart right out of the other side of the deer. It was a short track job.

He knows the season is over. Lol.

Yes, it was. The deer were hiding in there, and there was no other way to find them than to tip toe in. Even with my 8’s , visibility was less than a 100 yards.

The title before the edit was unclear, though the pic was prc, that’s why I asked. But I’m looking for cm.

Cm or prc? Pic looks like prc.
