True. I think the boys in Apalachia are getting a lot of help. I mean how many of those good ol boys can build a wood chip burning unit to fuel their truck. Is ingenious but thinking they got a little help with that. What happened with the ol boy in west Texss that cowboyed with a mule and the survivalist down in southern AZ? teas dude with his son still there ... they'll be on the next episodedude in so az was on a diff show I think... with the utah gem guy and new mexico cat also the texas guy that helped the rancher find his lost cattle. James What was the shows name? We only watch a few shows per week and record them so we can skip those damned commercials. no man's land James

Anyone know what an old Ford Model T is worth? - Pix Added
JLW replied to Coach's topic in Classified Ads
almost 5 million model a's were made and 15 million model t's were made... don't think the model t's are worth as much as 1 would think. on american pickers the other night he bought a 1930 something ford coupe for $16,000..... don't think many were made and trany/engine were original. people like to make those into hot rods... here you go kanati tires has em I ordered some trail hogs for my truck from tireseasy.com so far so good! http://www.kanatitires.com/products/utv-tires/mongrel/#.VYGbrflViko James Unfortunately they don't seem to be offered in my sizes of 25x11-12 and 25x8-12 try this site http://www.tires-easy.com/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?dsco=135&cart_id=42460900.135.23375&sowigan=&Breite=25x11.00&Quer=&Felge=12&Speed=&kategorie=6&Marke=&ranzahl=4&search_tool=standard&tyre_for=DOT_Highway_Approved&rsmFahrzeugart=PKW&suchen=+ -
my wife makes this soup!!! sooo good. obviously use ground elk for your meatballs she doesn't like cilantro so she uses fresh mint. actually adds some to the meatballs in her recipe I top mine with fresh cilantro and mint and we make rice to go with it and eat with warm corn tortillas. don't forget your favorite hotsauce!!!! albondigas soup NGREDIENTSNutrition SERVINGS 8UNITS US Meatballs 1⁄2lb lean ground beef 1⁄2lb chorizo sausage, casing removed (not the fully cooked kind) 1egg, beaten 2garlic cloves, minced 1⁄2carrot, minced 1⁄2cup cooked rice 1⁄2cup cilantro leaf, chopped 1⁄2teaspoon salt 1⁄4teaspoon pepper 1teaspoon ground cumin Albondigas Soup 6cups chicken broth (I usually use nonfat and low sodium) 1⁄2cup onion, chopped 3stalks celery, cut in chunks 1(16 ounce) can diced tomatoes(with nothing added) 1⁄2teaspoon ground cumin 1teaspoon oregano 1⁄2cup cilantro 1large zucchini, sliced salt pepper Make the meatballs first: Combine everything and mix thoroughly. Form meatballs and roll between your palms (Otherwise, meatballs will fall apart in the soup). You should make around 20 to 24 meatballs, set aside. Combine chicken broth, onion, celery, tomatoes and their liquid, cumin, oregano and cilantro leaves in a large pot. Bring to broil, and reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Drop meatballs in the soup (Make sure the soup is slightly boiling, the meatballs need to be cooked quickly). Return to simmer and cook another 10 minutes. Add zucchini and cook 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. You could top the soup with cooked rice, or just by itself.

JLW replied to apache12's topic in Other Hunting Gear
I have had 2 nephews in the last 3 years get pulled over and given a slew of tickets taking out the only OHV not street legal quad... This quad is not on DOT tires and in neither case was their a citation for the tires ... For over 6 years, I have seen people claim there is a Mysterious Statute that does not seem to be in the revised State statutes or any official publication that defines making your OHV street legal... In all these years and after being on many Forums both Hunting and offroad/OHV sites I have yet to see anyone be able to share a citation statute violation code for non DOT tires ... I see nothing wrong with having DOT tires and for those who spend as much time on paved and hard-packed maintained roads as they do the more rugged stuff I would recommend them. But until I see an actual statue - official publication or at least a citation with the violation code ( so the validity can be researched through the laws ) I am not buying the DOT thing as being something more than what Tire retailers are selling to the public to make more $$$$$ I will have to agree with str8shot on this now. I have researched this for 2 weeks and find nothing in ARS codes. I even called my good friend who is a Lieutenant with PD for 23 years and he has never heard of one. The people that have said they were ticketed were a friend of a friend and I never met them so as far as trying to see a ARS code on the so called ticket for this has never happened. Good cal str8shot. I guess you just can't believe some people. some discussion on a national trails web page... somebody is telling somebody it isn't ok... probably some lame LEO that has nothing to do. http://www.americantrails.org/resources/motors/ohvpaveregs.html james -
before you head out with it... set it up and wet it down with your hose let it dry completely so the holes from the stitching shrink up or you could have a leak. directions will tell you this but I know how us guys are with directions. when leaving camp if it is wet even a little come home and set it up to let it dry out before storing or you will have mold. I thought this would be a drag but not too bad yet set up is pretty quick and the storage bag that came with mine makes it a snap! good luck with a great buy... I love mine! James

JLW replied to Big Browns's topic in Youth Hunters
they did try it.... you took them squirrel hunting. granted not big game but they get the gist of it. should be hook line and sinker after that. and as far as waddell... I recall many shows his young kids had to sit through an onsite class before going in the field at whatever ranch/farm they were on to discuss safety and ranch rules. more options should be adding a few more classes to make it more convenient for the parents. the big box stores should do more to help out (like a class every 2 weeks help) as much money as we spend in them. that cat is way bigger than 120 I'd say 165+ James

what I've learned about the arizona on-line draw: 1) don't try to put in when someone says on cwt "on-line draw system is up" wait for G&F to send me an e-mail saying it's up and running 2) don't wait til' the last day or it will crash and I'll be stressed wondering, hoping it went through. 3) go on cwt and read the funny stories about the people who waited til' the last minute and read all the rants about how it should be and they should extend it if it isn't working properly, how they shouldn't extend it that it's the people's fault for waiting til' the last minute. how it should be paper only... how it should be cash/check only. ok to the range and then watch the dbacks game.
