+1 I'd look at Krieger barrels as well, but let your smith help you with the pro's and con's of each barrel type, action, etc. Those guys on longrangehunting are legit. And as a side note, a good smith can put together a build that will shoot as good or better as any "Custom Rifle Company" and do it for much less with much more personal attention. +1 I just got a custom rifle put together that is less than half the price of a complete "custom". Look at Schneider barrels, little backed up because of the military contract, but if you know the right people. I got mine in 2 weeks or something like that, my stock took longer.

Kent and Cheryl- My thoughts and prayers are for you and your family. Just like C&S said your words brought a flood of feelings and some tears welling up inside. I am so very sorry for your loss, but your words have prompted me deeply to let my family know how much they mean to me, every hour of every day. Thanks You Houston Davis

Well I'm a hunter before an archer so I like the challenge of being close, BUT I've missed Coues, Mulies and Elk all under 30 yards and I've killed Coues, mulies and elk at over 40 and some well over 40. My point being, I don't care how far or how close I am, I can still miss. I don't think the shot has anything to do with ethics. I take shots I'm sure I can make, even though sometimes I don't. I think if you hit an animal, how long you spend looking or whether you give up soon is the ethical question. IMO.

pretty cool, that buck looks like he might be a real good one. Nice pics

nlacost- Congrats on a sweet buck..too bad it was spread all over the hunting world like that, but after reading all of the nonsense here about the story and picture I was expecting to see a 30x30 foot map of the tree you were sitting in. Great buck

Well I'm not an archeologist, or specialist in human remains, but I spent/ spend alot of time looking at head and neck anatomy of humans and my first impression is that it is human skull and the bone composition looks like human.

Beautiful Country J, great looking pictures, kids are shore growing up huh? Nice job. -
Examine it thoroughly, if no major wear and tear exists and you are shooting broad heads how you want, then I would leave it alone. Once you make adjustments to your bowstring you will usually have to re tune your bow even if just a small amount. If you are not happy with the tune of your bow or looking at changing something anyway THEN I would replace it with a better string. I had the zebra string on my XT for about 3 months and then put winners choice on it and was impressed immediately and shot more consistently. I just hate messing with my bow unless I got plenty of time to make it right before I hunt.

I have an old Rossi pump, fun gun to shoot for sure. When I was a kid I liked to shoot buttons, pennies etc.. out of the air with it, never could aim with the sites, but it sure pointed nice.

Another Trail Camera gone... any thoughts?
WHT_MTNMAN replied to luvdemcoues's topic in Trail Cameras
I have a camera up right now that doens't have a lock box on it, and I'm constantly worried about it, I told my wife last night that if someone steals my camera without a lock then I will feel stupid, but if they steal one of my cameras with a lock on it then I will just be upset, nothing I can do about dishonest people. -
Great looking pictures Gino, its getting close.

Richard thanks, I'm pretty pumped, got 16a early archery. Nothing for deer or Antelope. We will have a great time in August, but I decided not to take off any extra days in august, save them for the elk hunt. lol Houston
