Jeremy it was a pleasure getting to know you and what a super buck, congrats again.

Nice catch... same ranch probably less than a mile apart but a different ridge. I shot twice and hit him twice. One probably would have killed him just a bit far back and when he bedded I didn't want to run the risk of him moving. First shot 722yds. Bedded shot through both shoulders at 700 yards. I shot him with my 300 ultra. Thanks for all the good words and it was a great time. Rut was hitting hard and bucks were chasing, couldn't ask for anything more.

What an absolute horrible tragedy. I hope and pray for all the families involved. on a lighter note, thats why I'm going to Mexico to get away from this crap. jk -

You know..... I've killed Coues at 32 yards with a bow, and a few from 80-650 with a rifle. The buck I killed at 650 (one shot btw) was cool, BUT man 32 yards with a bow spot and stalk is freakin sweet. My goal has been to shoot a Coues while it is still in its bed with my bow, then I know I've succeded as a hunter. One of these days.

Super cool, I love the video and great job on the bucks. -
I'm going and I can not wait. My last day buck, last year. I wanted something with extras, and passed to many bucks. Not this year though HAHA

We found this bull about 5 min before legal shooting light on opening morning last Friday, checked sunrise charts waited 10 min to see enough to shoot and one shot bull down. Darin made a great shot. We found this and a few other bulls in scouting trips and he was plenty big for the unit. My camera was all screwed up and all I got were blurry pictures. I think I must have had it on macro mode and with the sun shining I couldn't see the screen well enough to notice they were messed up.

Absolutly beautiful buck

Here is a picture of all of us. Thanks so much Royce and Darin for a fun hunt. We shot this bull just before 7 and didn't get him out until almost dark. Long, hard but fun day

Kimber 84M .204 Ruger for trade only, Brand New unfired and 100%!!!
WHT_MTNMAN replied to stalkincoues's topic in Classified Ads
I love that gun, and it is worth a good amount BUT you will be hard pressed to find a long range gun already set up with a "higher" quality scope on it for anywhere close to being that cheap, even with the scope thrown in. A long range gun may not have tons of money into it, but quite often has a lot of time and energy into it that makes it worth significantly more than a stock gun, even as quality as that Kimber. Just my .02 -
School me on socks, liners, insoles, wax, etc..
WHT_MTNMAN replied to AZ RANGER's topic in Other Hunting Gear
I wear the smart wool and thorlos and I do not wear liners. I bought a couple pairs and didn't find much benefit from them. That being said, with a stiffer boot you may want to wear them for awhile until they break in. -
Congrats Mrs. Grong, what a super buck

I had the pleasure of spending a very long, tiresome awesome and successful day with my good friend Joe. We made the drive after work, hunted hard and Joe found and made a good shot on this buck. This buck is pretty cool and heavy, I havent' put a tape on him yet, but should be around 90. It was a great day to spend time with a buddy I don't see as often as I should. The only thing we missed is our friend Rob as he was in Montana missing deer when he should have been down with us.
