Recently I've had the pleasure of meeting new people and this gentleman was kind enough to show me pictures of this bull he took in 1965. If I remember correctly on the back of the picture it said, 1965 bull elk 300 Win Mag 79 gr of 4831. Thanks Mr O for sharing and I hope you enjoy this picture. Just recently it was scored and scored around 412 I believe, I have not seen it in person, but look at that mass.

Another pic, maybe show points better. Right 4th is inline with beam.

There isn't a broken sword on right or third on left, just didn't show up in the picture, I guess with the flash.

It also adjusts easily for balance, slight forward back etc... Tight spot is the way to go for me at least.

Usually the taxidermist starts and finishes the mount within a few weeks. Most of the time is waiting for cape to come back from tannery and form that is ordered, others before you (deer antelope etc)...So unless he has already started the process there will be nothing to take a picture of... Also most people in general don't like having their work seen unfinished. Like an artist half way through a sculpture. That being said I often have my taxidermist send me a picture if we have questions on pose or form.

I've been a bowtech fan for quite a few years and I really like the destroyer and now the Experience. Great shooting bows with high performance. New Prime Rival may be my next bow....

Exactly one week after I killed my bull, by buddy Jed was able to connect on this outstanding late season archery bull. Big Kudos to Jed and Jeremiah for all their help and making this a great hunt. Jed made a great shot on this bull at 55 yards. We waited the customary 30-40 minutes and as it starting to get dark we began tracking. We followed the tracks and blood into the timber and only about 60 yards later we walked behind some deadfall and the bull was lying there only about 7-10 feet away with his head up. It about scared all of us to death since we were concentrating on following tracks and blood. Jed nocked another arrow and sent it on its way.

After years of scouting and guiding this late hunt, my buddy Jed and I, (I just pretended to help) decided this year we should put in and try to draw the late season bull tag. Even though reported success is very low to 0% we knew that over the years if we were patient and lucky, we could kill a great bull or two. After lots of video and pictures, (mostly Jed) we had our different hit lists. I managed to kill one of the bulls in the top 4 of my hit list. Probably #4 but I wasn't going to be too picky. Opening evening found us in position on a couple of the biggest bulls we had scouted, it didn't come together and after a miserable storm, extreme 50+mph winds and 0 degree, and 5 long days of hunting and poor weather a plan came together and I was able to make a good shot on this giant 3rds, 5x6 late season archery bull. He was actually a 6x6 with a busted 5th sometime during the year. Here are some general scouting pictures during and before the hunt. Some of these I posted before. My bull closest to camera on next 2 pics Opening day found us almost to get it done, but not meant to be. Huge thanks to my buddy Jed for making this happen. We all said a 350 in the late season was like a 400 during the rut. Jed (Mr 400) gets it done again!!! Thanks Boss!!

I spend less than 5% of my time behind a spotter, usually just to judge a buck or bull quickly and decide if shooter or not...I prefer straight for quick acquisition... especially in MX. I'm taking it off and putting it on frequently..
