Snow is great...very quiet the first few days. Then very crunchy and tough to stalk but still can be done.

Jay, I always enjoy your posts and I appreciate the "under estimation". One of the most frustrating times in the last few years was when I was sure a bull was going to break 370" and I scored him at 366". I would rather be under than over any day. Great pictures and story. Thanks.

Spot and stalk is all about picking the right stalk. Once I figured that out it became so much easier. I've killed coues bucks from less than 30 yards to well over that, with the average being in the 40-55 range. I think that slightly longer shots are the norm with spot stalk. BUT... I agree that letting them come to you increases the odds in your favor.
