    3a/3c roll call

I normally don't post pictures of the biggest ones I find.. But I showed some people last night the picture so I guess Its no secret, Do you mean this one cbryant11??? Funny how everybody wants me to tell them about this buck, he is just a dink, won't even make 200. Maybe I'll get lucky and have my wife put her tag on him.

    Washington Salmon!!

  14. I've digressed to calling them cooz, just because most everyone else does. In my mind it is Couse (Rhyme with House) I have an uncle who is a french speaking Canadian and that is how he would say it. Cooz sounds like un-educated red-neck term. Either way they are the greatest deer on the Planet!!!!

210 Berger with 90-92 Retumbo.. If my 210s didn't shoot so good I would try 230 hybrid. I agree with Stomp, you are shooting a 300 RUM...... so maximize it

    Velvet to Hard Horned

Every year there is a bull that either seems to be extra special to me, or I end up seeing quite a few times or something a little different. Last year it was a bull with giant fronts that really got me going. This year it was this bull. I'm not sure how many times I saw this bull, but it was over a dozen from velvet to hard horned. A buddy of mine chased him with a bow with no luck. We didn't even go after this bull during the rifle hunt because I figured he was only a 345-50 bull with 10"+ of extras, not what we wanted the first couple days of the hunt. Here he is and he scored mid 370's. Congrats to Burnt Timber and hunter, Nice job Daniel. Even though the picture is in another thread, I thought I would start this one about the bull. I found him in June first a few miles from the house and he was killed within a mile and 1/2 of the house. He moved probably less than 7 miles from velvet to where he was killed.

    coues wilderness jan hunt

In your post you said that backpacking was not a problem, to me that sounds like you want to do a wilderness hunt if it means being more successful. Well this is my .02 worth. In January it is extremely easy to find bucks, just harder to kill with archery equipment, so unless you want to have the experience of backpacking in, I would spend that time and energy making stalk after stalk etc...I like backpack hunts, but usually I do it to get away from people and give myself a better opportunity to harvest a good buck. During January I would spend time in a unit with greater deer densities and camp more comfortably than do a back pack hunt. But that is my opinion.

Elk Season Part I (pic heavy)

I didn't draw an early bull tag again, so all my days consisted of scouting for others. Since I live and work in the middle of Elk country I get to see bulls on a daily basis. When I don't have a tag myself I glass from afar and take a few pictures or video and head on into work. This year I was able to help out on a few hunts, had a great time and got some decent video and pictures. Most of these pictures are screen shots from video. sorry for quality. same bull hardhorned 8 miles away from velvet picture I posted this one before.

    Elk Season Finale Rifle Hunt

A good friend of mine had the rifle tag. After not seeing many 370+ bulls and passing quite a few the first couple of days he shot this bull. This was a neat story, we had passed a few bulls throughout the morning, changed location, found and passed a few more. About 11am I told him I had seen some good activity in a certain spot that usually holds good bulls. As we parked and started to slip down the canyon, we both look over and can see an elk bedded on the pine covered slope. We spent the next 5 minutes trying to judge him and decide if he was a shooter. I told him it was a 350+ bull but I couldn't tell him how much bigger. Due to family, work etc... and lack of giant bulls scouted he decided to shoot the bull. The bull stood up, I let out a cow call, he turned broadside and one shot through both lungs and he had his first bull. Darell waited a long time to be able to tag his first bull. He was overcome with emotion and it was an absolute awesome experience to share this with not only a great person, but a good friend that I've played ball with, hunted with etc... for so many years. Couple more scouting pics. Pics don't show the mass on this bull. He had 11 3/8 and 10+ measurements on his first mass measurement. 19+ and 20+ thirds..... Great bull !!

    Arizona Early Bulls

Nice job on some good looking bulls.
  24. In the interest of Full-Disclosure and of being rebuked by Str8shot please bear with me as I try to sell my 2010 Bowtech Destroyer This bow has everything, sights, arrows, even laser pointing... I bought it new from my Bishop (I'm LDS) (again I'm trying to disclose everything) I'm only wanting $50 more than I bought it and I promised to give it to the fast offering fund in the church. It has exactly 33 scuff marks, 22 scratches and 6 areas of fraying on the string. It has killed at least 7 big game animals (maybe one wounded, no blood etc...) I used it as my walking stick a time or two, a little dirt in the riser etc... Almost brand new. Please call or text and I'll send some pictures after I dig it out of the closet, It may take a few days be patient, I'll get to it as soon as possible. Thanks for looking and if you want to offer more than I bought it for that is up to you and I would be happy to take it. Have a great day. PS. Str8shot all in jest...
