Long story but this buck was shot at and missed in Mexico this year. Not the best footage I know 4x4 with a 3-4" kicker off of base of left G3. 3 1/2 to 4" eye guards if I remember correct What are your guesses. ?? I have my thoughts just curious as to what others think. You can watch in HD https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kv2cAnsnJLI For comparison this 4x4 was 114 and change buck. Shot is just over the 1 min mark. No follow up shot needed even though it was back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90PjEjAIM_U

Any Idea of how big??
WHT_MTNMAN replied to WHT_MTNMAN's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
He had all of us wondering what he was. My brother who had never shot a Coues would have been thrilled to shoot him. So he tried, Hopefully he is around next year. I was at 300 yards with a 95mm swaro and was guessing the 110 mark, but I never got a great look so who knows? -
We arrived with food garbage left from the previous week. It was a disaster, The ranch manager was a young kid who showed up late, hungover and less than thrilled that he had to work. Just tough all the way around..

Earlier this spring I had a chance to go to Tx with my boys. Overall it was a horrible trip. 8 of us 2 days in blinds and my oldest son was the only lucky one. I was super excited for him and he made a great shot sitting a blind by himself. I wish I could have been there to see it. My youngest made a stalk on a couple of piglets and got to shoot at one. kind of. http://smg.photobucket.com/user/khdavis/media/VID_20160430_085302649_zps6mrkqbpy.mp4.html?filters[user]=2662449&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=0

Couple of years ago we had 2 cow tags in our family of 5. We hunted together, spotted and packed elk together. We are lucky and able to hunt out of the house. 2 cow tags filled the first evening with everyone there. It was a great experience. Normally I like having them split up. I get to spend quality one on one time with each tag holder. This year my daughter drew by herself and she made a great shot the one day we got to hunt.

So unless you already have a cape then I would say $100-$150 for a cape and then the regular taxidermy fee for a Coues deer..$550-$700. So somewhere between $650 and $850+ would be resonable. A lot depends on the taxidermist and the quality you want.

I missed it too the first time around. Way cool. congrats to you and your daughter. !!
