I know this is an old post but i agree...most goat mounts look horrible. Clay did mine the year before and it was awesome. Similar base. -

Draysen's 2019 Archery Elk Hunt (Our Epic Fall Part 2)
WHT_MTNMAN replied to rossislider's topic in Elk Hunting
Great job Draysen Congrats to you guys! -
I think he is very reputable, goes to show how difficult photos are to judge. Both ways

The one with the score sheet attached looked like a 350 at best from the picture I saw. But from the live pictures the bull looked incredible.

I posted exhausted after spending all month trying to kill stuff. Get a late night emergency call, have to go into the office late and thankfully my stupid post was forgot about. i probably should have added that there were 400 bulls that we didnt know about before social media. Not that social media caused the problem. Also read my post. I pointed out a few cases that i thought " could" have been better than this year. I didnt say they were. I had a tag in 2006 and missed a bull that was killed that went 404" auction or raffle tag I think another 400 class bull and that was 3c. 9 and 10 had even more. I thought everyone was making too much of a fuss over this year, but man oh man some giants have been killed.
-
Its pretty hard to send pictures on a landline or a little more difficult to send a mass email. It seems like we heard about giant bulls months or years after they were killed unless they were in the newspaper. I know you are pot stirring but come on, social media makes it easy to all the big bulls in one spot.
-
Well out of the best units...and 22 used to have some 400" killed
-
Before social media we usually had a few in each unit, and those were the ones we knew about...it seems like quite a few this year but in all seriousness I doubt it is better than say 2006 or late 90s but I'm not sure. Very difficult to compare. All i know it was a pretty good year for 3c and it was behind most of the best units.

Kicking off Our 2019 Fall Season - My Bull Hunt (Our Epic Fall Part 1)
WHT_MTNMAN replied to rossislider's topic in Elk Hunting
I have seen 3 or 4 of them in the 3c area over the last decade. My dad tells of a story of tackling a blind bull that ran into a water catchment fence and subsequently almost gored him to death. -

Scouting Service Expectations
WHT_MTNMAN replied to Pecosray's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Lots of guides and outfitters in AZ will do a custom scout package. Good luck I hope it was a reputable entity. -
Great bull! nicely done

I'm actually wondering if it isn't an anti of sorts. I heard it was multiple trick tanks. but I'm not sure
-
Clay Goldman does quite a few of them and they turn out awesome. My buddy has 2 mule deer done recently.
