driving off road to retrieve game
WHT_MTNMAN replied to firstcoueswas80's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
I've read a few things and to me it seems like it is okay to travel cross-country only for getting legally taken big game, even on State Trust but I don't know, I like AZ4life think the spirit of the Law dictates what we should do. This is from the Regulations You may not operate a motorized vehicle cross-country except for the sole purpose of retrieving downed big game on State Trust land (A.R.S. 17-454). Houston -
That is an AWESOME buck thanks for the pics pretty neat.

Here is the link to my 2005 buck, I'll let Amanda post them in the gallery or whatever she wants so they don't get posted twice and use extra space or bandwidth. http://www.azsj.org/forums/showthread.php?p=48981#post48981

Thanks for the replies, the other guys from school had a chance but it didn't pan out for them, but it wasn't because I couldn't get them on bucks. They just were not used to the wide open areas and long shots. Those little bucks sure can hide well when they want too.

Poor buck walked by the wrong guy
WHT_MTNMAN replied to recurveman's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Congrats that is awesome, I bought the eberlstock "just one" pack a few months back and it worked flawlessly, small enough for my day pack and then expanded to accept the quarters. Congrats again on the buck. -
I almost got Screeewed, did same thing but glassed up a decent buck further up the hill that I ended up shooting, the one I missed out on was 100+ while this one I shot was closer to 90 I believe. I'll get pics and story up tonight.

Congrats Eric that is awesome, don't let Bret fool you, he really isn't that nice. On a serious note Bret does alot of good for many people, even takes time to answer my novice questions. Thanks Houston -

Equivalent Sizes: Whitetail vs. Coues
WHT_MTNMAN replied to Broncazonk's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Who would want to hunt "regular" whitetail after hunting coues? Anything over 80 gets further review in my book. -
Very nice buck, congrats to the hunter.

Nice buck, congrats to the both of you.
