Beautiful buck...Looks cold and fun. One of these days I'll have enough patience to sit a stand. Man I'm getting sick of blown stalks.

Good going, I'm sure I heard your shot opening morning. Along with about 200 others. I like the looks of that buck very good character. Welcome to the site.

If a lousy glasser like me can glass up two lions in a year and get two shots at one,(don't ask) then there are too many lions. In upper reaches of Sierrita Mtns 3 lions were spotted by 3 different hunters within 3 miles of each other on the same day that is quite a few. I actually enjoy seeing them sleeping under a tree, quite different from the few I've seen in a tree with hounds at the bottom. I enjoy seeing that too

What Do you think he scores?
WHT_MTNMAN replied to Lorona24A's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Nice buck, tell the guy who shot it, congrats it is an awesome buck. Is that buck from the area you grew up in? -
Nice job those kind of bulls were hard to come by this year, I would like to see pics of those bulls. Not many bulls can be judged an easy 400 inches and still be to far away to know if he was broken. I hope he is as big as you think he is.

Pretty funny- I lost a scope cover two weeks ago and had no idea when it came off of my rifle. Today I found it right in the middle of a two track. To bad I couldn't find the big buck I found two weeks ago, maybe in a few days. -

Nice job again RR- Jason good luck on your hunt next year, That hunt is the reason I want to be a dentist -
If I'm hunting with other people, I have no problems having a huge meal, fire anything else I need for enjoyment. (especially in the winter when it gets dark at 6:30pm and doesnt' get light until 7am) When I'm by myself I usually just crawl into bed. Be a smart hunter and play the wind is where it is at. I personally think the only good that comes from taking so much care of clothes, what you eat etc... as far as scent is concerned is to give you confidence. Confidence is what is important. IMO Besides just hunt the burn areas and the smoke on you will fit in just like normal.

Awesome story and pictures. I sure can't wait until I get a chance to make it up there. Someday....Congrats on the nice bucks. -
My little bro shot a small buck yesterday with my trusty .06 at 327yards. I think it is important to be able to shoot 300+ yards. That being said. I'm an archery hunter at heart, 20 yards is good. :0

I'll be down there, hopefully I'll miss it again this year, packing out my 90+ incher at midnight. :) -
Last years buck at 360 yards.

I agree with what has been said. I myself prefer to hunt alone. Besides all of the other good things that were said, I rely alot on the reaction of other deer. Last year the exact same thing happend to me, the two other bucks he was with stopped about 60 yards away and watched the spot of their fallen companian before moving off. I took this as a great sign and found the buck piled up right where he was standing.

I've had nothing but good luck with the sweetwater.
