the only time when we use it is when the herd spooks or busts. this has been 80/20 for us. if theres a sow with piglets she coming back to get them. if you call. we had a herd of 50 bust on us. we pulled out the call and got on top of a big rock/boulder. a sow with 4 or 5 others circled us for a few minutes. it was really neet to see. the best part, it was dec. 31. lucky pig! . but calling is calling you never know whats going to happen. all calls work. it just depends on the situations. my buddy has brought pigs back no calls just his mouth. he grunts just like'em and hes killed his last two like this. and good luck to you. hope you dont have to use it.

you might want to check again but yesterday i checked and 37a is closed for december. just in case if you go down this month. just a heads up. and i hope you can shoot far. water holes are huge over there in some places.

one more question kent would the nikon 12x56's make your short list about? and what ones did you say are better the bruntons or minox? i know you said the minox dont fit your face. but are they better glass than the bruntons? i just dont know anybody that has either of them to check them out.

how about 15x50 vortex vipers? how would those compare to these other two binos? i think these would be in the same range as the other two. im looking to sell my 12x56 nikons to get something better. does anybody know which one would be better vipers, bruntons or minox in the x50+ mags? i dont like my nikons at all. any review would be helpful.

sure loc makes a sliding 3-5 pin sight. i know a couple people that have it and its probably the last sight they will buy. but if you want durable and accurate sight then you want spot hogg. i have both the 5 and 7 pins real deals. great sights but i dont have the time and space to shoot the SDP. so the 5 pin will do.

a paper tune is a great place to start. this always helps a lot. or you can try walk back tuning. any search on google will show you how to do this. you have to move the rest but field points and broadheads will hit the same spot. and you will learn a lot about your bow. good luck on whatever you chose to do.

i was up there this weekend helping out my girlfriends mom and didnt even see an elk. i found a lot of good sign but nothing better. so good job to you guys on a tough hunt.
