leaving sunday mornin up to unit 27..... STOKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i was up in unit 27 last tuesday and i found a herd of 30+ cows in it.........

Drove up to unit 27 for the day on Tuesday from Tucson. Saw alot of wildlife. Saw about 30+ elk (no bulls just 2 spikes)saw a few mule deer(nice little forky) saw some antelope and saw 2 black bear cubs and a sow.(ALL in about 9 hours) The flooding gets crazy when it starts to rain. Got caught in a monsoon and it was a fun experience. Alot of new healthy growth is coming up, elk looked nice and fat. Gonna leave in a week for my Bull Hunt. Cant wait and good luck to everyone who has tags.

i heard that Thursday they are opening the roads back up to get to Big Lake

Theres still plenty of good area left in 27!!!!!!!! im keeping my faith ill still whack a toad come September!

I got a 27 sept bull hunt but this wallow fire is making me worried and bummed.... anyone else feeling this way??

Ill be Using Shuttle Ts on my bull hunt this year as well.

After 11years I drew my 1st elk tag!!! Archery bull unit 27 September hunt! My dad got the same tag after waiting 16 years and my brother got it after waiting 3 years! PUMPED!!!!

Should i mention this is my 1st elk tag!.... Been putting in for good hunts since i was a youngin

i wouldnt hunt the dove mountain area. i work up there and have seen lots of deer in the past but they are starting to get rabies. i got racks of dead bucks i have found when im working. i already contacted G&F and he told me next time i see a sick buck to contact him. I thought it was CWD at first but he said that there are no confirmed cases of that in AZ so he doubts that. He told me that the deer are pry getting rabies because the Dove Mountain Javelina herd tested positive for that 3 years ago. its a shame cause i used to see monsters out there now its been about 7 months since ive seen a deer
