Jeez, did Waddell %$$# your wife or something? Well, he is the "Bone Collector" I guess. p.s. - When you go from state to state, hunt to hunt, public appearance: from one to another, with no time to prepare, scout, get maps, ect, you rely on a guide. What a concept! Holier than thou? He is a hunter and we all need to stick together. You should want to be in a steel cage with some anti-hunter or polititian wanting to take your rights away. Why bring the fight to a fellow hunter? I guess I dont understand the hatred. Sheesh, I think we are one step away from dropping trou and getting out the ruler...

This is just not true. He is a past turkey calling national champion more than 10 years ago (before he was ever on TV). I don't think actors hone their turkey calling skills - outdoorsmen do. I agree that the hunting shows are pretty lame, but what's with all the haters here? Different strokes for different folks

I don't see it that way at all. I doubt that Waddell or anyone else is out to be the "center" of attention of anything. He caught a break and gets to hunt for a living. He is a popular personality, and his shows are successful. Companies pay him good money to endorse products. That's business, and it probably works better at selling product than you think. Not everyone grew up with people teaching them how to hunt since they were small. Some people get into the sport by catching it on TV and then finding out what it is all about. Those people probably would buy a ground blind endorsed by Waddell because he/she is all alone in trying to learn. Who cares what the name is on the product? I only care if it is a good product for the $$. If they pay Waddell to endorse, who cares?

Do you use a bow sling for your hand? Hand torque might be your problem, and a sling helped me in that regard. Today's bows have a lot of force behind them. 1/2 cm left tear isn't a big deal. Just hit where you aim, and I would say you are good to go. As other have mentioned, walk back tuning is a great way to tune.

I think hunter74 had a question about a specific rest (limbsaver). I don't think he is soliciting advice on what rests everyone thinks he should buy. Hunter74 - I have not used the limbsaver so I can't help you out there... Sorry

+1 I have ordered tree steps, Frogg Toggs, arrows, serving tools, bowstring and many other things from them and had a very good experience. Sorry to hear about your recent order with them. I have had great business with them.

New bow -Hoyt, mathews, or bowtech?
Garage Logic replied to Buckhunter's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
All the Class "A" bows are great these days. You really cant go wrong with any of them, you just need to shoot them all to see which one fits you the best. I shoot a Bowtech because I believe that the Bowtech Center-Pivot bows are the quietest bows ever made. Everytime I shoot next to my buddy, he comments on how quiet my bow is. I shot an '09 Admiral and bought one because it felt good for me. I love it. I have heard mixed reviews on the Destroyer. It is probably a little over-hyped IMO (but then again, I never shot one). If I were to buy a Bowtech, I would stick to a center pivot model. A few things that certain Bowtech's have that you may not find in any other bow: Binary Cams In-Velvet Finish Center Pivot (Do not need a bow press to change strings or install peep) If you don't know much about them, here is a video explaining it: Click Here - Center Pivot Video If I was in the market for a new bow, I would also consider the Elite line. I like the z28. The Elite bows have a "no questions asked" lifetime warranty that stays with the bow and even if it is sold to another person (much like Badland's warranty). If you break the bow, of even if you break a string, they will overnight a loaner bow to you free of charge. I love companies that stand behind their stuff like that. -
I think Str8Shot uses this gadget on his hunts a lot. Personally, I think he crosses the line with its use. Since I disagree with their use, I must call for all of these instruments to be outlawed.

My use of a trail cam is not just to pattern game, or to "pick out" the one I will be after... I am an outdoorsman first and foremost, not just a hunter. I love wildlife and I love to see whats out there. I use the trail cam just as much to get photos of wildlife. You never know what kind of photos you will get, and that's what most of us love about it. You hear people talk about how setting cams is "addicting". If it wasnt enjoyable, it wouldn't get addicting. I am soooooo tired of people regulating my fun just because you don't share my same enjoyment. Just stop already. We know you disagree with the use. Don't use them then and leave me alone. You should run for congress, you would fit right in.

$$$$ was a big consideration for me when I decided on my cameras. Not only because I am on a tight budget, but because I did not want to invest a lot of money in a camera when the chance of it getting stolen is there. I decided on the Moultrie D-40. I have gotten great pics from it, and the trigger seems to work great. I bought mine at Bass Pro for $79.00 and it came with a free 1 GB card. It is a little big, and heavy, but for $80??? It works great. I painted mine a brown/camo color so it blends in more. I would like to get one of Amanda's cameras, but I just cant justify spending that much yet. The moultrie has worked great for me. Check out the reviews on cabelas.com: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/template...-box.jsp.form23
