I’m pretty sure he stole my cam from “hangman” tank
-
For the record I don't know anything about the case nor do I want to know. It's none of my business. But I just wanna know who stole my cams
-
I haven't been on this site for a long time but I might have some info on this. Can you guys please fill me in on around where he was stealing all the trail cams? I had two stolen close to each other in 3c near black canyon lake early that spring right after he shot that buck. But I had another one he didn't get and I might have a trail cam pic of that buck.....

is it considered baiting if you shoot a bear that comes into a salt lick?

awesome find Julie!! that buck has to be over 100 inches right? also i thought if the horns were still brown and it still has hair and hide attached to it that it can't be that old correct? just curious what are the legalities of this? did you just take it home with you? did you have to contact g&f and have them come out there to do an investigation??? -
Very nice buck! Congrats

VERY tough hunt, it seemed like so many things were against us. The full moon, the HEAT, all the hunters everywhere on quads. On several occasions me and my dad hiked into areas we thought had no roads according to the map, we would sit down and start glassing only to have hunters come driving in on quads and firing handguns etc. I glassed up some deer a few mornings but couldnt get close enough for a shot before they dissapeared over ridges or into thick brush. The afternoons were so hot I had a very hard time glassing any deer in the afternoon. I don't think I would ever put in for this hunt for my dad or me in the future. Maybe the second rifle hunt is significantly cooler? Thanks again for all who replied , I appreciate it :-)

My dad trusted me to put him in for a different unit that he knows but I accidentally put him in for 20c and he got drawn for 20c early rifle oct26-nov 1. With a baby on the way and working two jobs I don't have enough time to go scout much. Any ideas would be appreciated just general areas would be great. I like to setup my tripod and use my swarovski 15's to glass, any suggested areas to glass would be greatly appreciated. My lips are sealed, thanks in advance and god bless. Feel free to pm me P.S. Good luck to everybody on their hunts this fall

congratulations on a very nice bear. have you cleaned the skull yet and had it rough scored?
-
ya i'm on the same page, good words sjvcon

thank you very much for all who replied. I have no problem at all studying maps and going out and glassing. I was merely trying to see if anybody could suggest a decent general area that is known to hold some nice bucks. Like I said I'm not familiar with the unit and put my dad in for it by accident. I'm getting excited for this hunt and I think we can kill a decent buck. Most of all I'm looking forward to spending time with my father in the outdoors. I will post pics and a story after the hunt. Thanks again guys, really appreciate it :-) John

Extreme AZ Bear Hunts
coues4u replied to CouesBuckhunter's topic in Black Bear or Grizzly Bear hunts
Ya I would just like to clarify that I was simply asking some questions to educate myself. I am an avid bear hunter and just wanna make sure I don't get in trouble for hunting bears in certain ways....that's all. I think Cole is a great hunter and that is a very nice bear you killed!!! Maybe I should have just pm'ed Cole i'm sorry -
Extreme AZ Bear Hunts
coues4u replied to CouesBuckhunter's topic in Black Bear or Grizzly Bear hunts
Well AZGFD needs to be more specific if they are gonna be prosecuting people for baiting bears. I don't really see the difference in sitting a cattle tank that has been there for years and shooting a bear off of it as opposed to hauling a barrel and water down into a canyon for a month or two and shooting a bear off of that. Do you? -

Is it written in the AZGFD laws or regs that you can't use salt to bait bears? This is a very touchy subject I think. Another question I have....is it legal by AZGFD to put out a water barrel and shoot a bear that comes into it??? Is that considered baiting?
