We saw lots of does no matter where we went. Saw a couple lone deer in fading light that were to tough to tell and one we bumped in some thick stuff that was very big but didn't see its head. So of course while we were packing up we saw guys on the hill above our camp glassing, we thought they were foolish until they shot a buck about 200 yards from camp. Oh well......

Nope no lions. Saw some scat with deer hair in it and I found a leg bone nearby. I did see several 2 legged "cats" trying to evade boarder patrol and one other dude running around in a red thong but those are different stories.

We were in 35b. We saw lots of BP activity on the roads in Maggie's Canyon. Saw 3 drug runners that evaded BP. Also saw BP transferring pot bales from one truck to another. We also saw BP helicopters running up and down the canyons. The most disturbing thing we saw was a hefty guy at a semi-permanent camp in 3-R running through his campsite at mid-day in nothing but a red thong. We of course did not stop to investigate.

We were down there too. Lots of does every time we were out. Thought we had a buck spotted but it vanished before we were sure. Wind, rain, hail, BP and a few runners. Packing up Monday we saw three guys on a hill a couple hundred yards above our camp. They glassed for an hour, got up, bumped a buck and shot him. Sad part is we joked all weekend about hitting that area instead of getting back from the road and hiking up the mountains. Oh well, better to be lucky sometimes. We found some nice sheds but that was it. I almost forgot. We saw a black truck up on a hill in Maggies Canyon every morning that had some kind of scissors lift in the bed. They would raise the thing up with some equipment on it. Anybody know what it was? We were guessing it was some kind of thermal unit because they left after the sun was up. (We saw one two legged buck running through a campsite clad only in a red thong.....but I don't even want to know what that was all about. )

I have the Fullfield II in 4.5 x 14. I like it. Also like the Balistaplex. If you call Burris customer service they will tell you what the calibrations are for each load depending upon the load you are shooting elevation etc.

Is the number for 35b the same? On the BP website the Nogales PB station is 520-761-2400. Is that the right number or is there a better hot line?

Sounds like a consensus.

sickle10 started following 35(b) Coues hunt. Lion tag.

I have been active on some of the other AZ sites and a lurker here for some time. I have enjoyed reading stories and getting info. Great community. Anyway, I am headed to 35b for my first Coues hunt. Should be a great time. With all the glassing going on does anybody see mt. lions in the unit? Thought I might pick up a lion tag just in case. We will be north of Camp Washington for the most part.
