I have a Charles Daly 20ga semi I could part with. Bought it new about 10 years ago and gun has ran flawlessly. Has F, M & IC chokes.

Sportsmans in Phoenix had several pounds left this afternoon. Thought others would like to know.

Just got back from a week in the 36's. Only saw one decent MD buck chasing does, and that was this morning. Talking with everyone that I met down there, seems like there were a few others doing the same but most everyone was either not finding the big boys or finding them all alone or with other bucks.

Yeah, I'm glassing for deer at day break, but looking for Javi's a bit later. Everything in 36C lights up quick once the sun is up. The herd I saw this morning was maybe 20 minutes after the sun came up. I was actually looking for some mule deer out there.

Headed down that way this weekend to try my luck again for pigs. I've done some day hunts for quail south of Tucson several years ago, but never set up camp, nor ever been in any of the 36 units. Anyways, what I'm curious about is where would be a safe place to camp? I know Amanda runs the women's camp down there, so I've already sent her an email, but if anyone else has some pointers for camping down there, I should would appreciate it. Thanks.

I thought about that, but the only predator call I brought with me was my foxpro. It's been so long since I hunted Javi's that I completely forgot to bring a mouth call. Hunted down in 36B this evening and saw a single pig a long ways away right at dusk, too far and too dark to do anything tonight about. Not sure if I want to head back that way in the morning or give 36C another day. Either way, this some beautiful country down here.

Thanks all. I ended up camping off the elk horn ranch road. No issues with the spot other than the BP loves driving fast down it in the middle of the night, and its a very dusty area. Did not see any pigs yesterday, but did glass up 50+ deer. Did manage to glass a herd of pigs out in the flats this morning, but never could locate them once I got down there.

My wife has finally started shooting her bow again. I'm hopeful that she will be comfortable enough to go after some Javi's during the HAM season. Anyways, she is currently shooting at only 28 lbs, but I plan on working her up towards 32-33 lbs. Her arrows are right at 300 grains, without a head. I shoot 125's, and thought that's what I had put on there, but her field points are only 100grs. Should I switch her over to 125's now so she can shoot my Montecs, or keep her at 100? And if I keep her at 100, especially with the low poundage, what CoC broad heads should I go with? If I move her up to 125's, should I go with a different head that is smaller diameter? Thanks.

Broad head weight for a low poundage bow?
metau replied to metau's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
Not doing any mechanicals. Don't want to loose any energy having to deploy blades. I almost picked up some 75gr muzzy mix-3's, thinking the 125's might be too much, but they are not a CoC head. As low as her poundage is, I'm wasn't sure if it had to be a CoC tip or if one of the chisel tips would work as well. Not to complicate things further, but would anything need to change for deer season next year? Aside from upping poundage as much as she can? Thanks. -
How much does the check piece raise up your check rest? Thanks.

I have a JP barrel on my 3 gun rifle. It shoots 1-1.5 moa for several 55gr factory loads. The SSA 69gr HPBT's run in the .7's. Considering how hot the barrel gets, and the crap I have to put it through in some matches, I'm more than happy with that kind of performance.

I'll be in San Diego and Irvine for New Years if you sell it and need someone to transport it to AZ for you.

Prices updated. Thanks.

$200, can meet at north Phoenix sportsmans. Used for 2 matches, phenomenal trigger, but won a hyperfire 24C and liked it just a bit more, so this one has been sitting in a spare lower for a few months. Can ship in a flat rate box for cost. Thanks. Edited title to correctly reflect trigger as S3G, not SD3.

Thanks for the word of caution on the trigger. Haven't dealt much with this one yet to know about it, but I did have that issue in my 308 chambered 660. Definitely changed some of the things I used to do when I found that out.
-
It's the 20" barreled 660, and yes, it has the laminated stock. Looks like I can go to an COL of 2.844" without any clearance issues in the magazine, though I'd have to pull the bolt to eject a chambered round. It has an old weaver K2.5 60-B on it, so I'll see what I can do at the range with it. I may have to put something else on it for load development and then throw that back on there once complete. Now I just need to find some dies. Here's a few pics, btw. Love that laminate stock. Thanks.

If anyone needs a hand with glassing, let me know. I just got back from working on the road for 2 years and am taking some time off, and can't think of a better way to spend my days.

Looking for some properly headstamped brass for my 6.5 remington magnum. Thanks.

Have not seen any in the last year, but still looking.

WTB 15 or 20inch free floating AR10 hand guard
metau replied to Big Browns's topic in Classified Ads
If your looking for a non railed one, I highly suggest the Nordic components one. I have it on two AR's, and love it for what it is. Plus, it's much more affordable than many others($80 from midwayusa for the extended rifle length). Here it is on my 3 gun rifle. -
I've seen great results from the 110 Accubond on deer. Closest shot was was about 25 yards, longest was just shy of 300. The close one was a steep uphill shot. He jumped when shot, the bullet lodged in the off side shoulder blade, flipped him over and he broke his neck. Only two of the others ran when shot, but longest going less than 50 yards before dropping.
