Question about going from ADL to BDL
metau replied to PRDATR's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Pacific tool and gauge, midwayusa, brownells, and the CWT classifieds. -
Great gun. Was debating between this and a Tanfoglio a few years back. Both superb platforms and great shooters.
-
Keep in mind some places have caliber restrictions, such as the WMAT @ .270, for use on elk.

In a heartbeat. Tons of other places to cut out 9 oz.

I thought leg traps were allowed on private property, with a trapping license?

Help needed IMMEDIATELY for Hunts for Heroes desert sheep hunt
metau replied to Lv2hnt's topic in Bighorn Sheep Hunting
PM sent. If anyone else is headed out that way, please let me know and I will pass on what I can. Lv2hnt is crazy busy right now and is either almost to camp or headed up the mountain with the hunter by now. -
Favorite "Non-Steak House" Restaurant in the Valley?
metau replied to rossislider's topic in The Campfire
Their Carne Asada is hit or miss. But the Pastor is some of the best I have ever had, and what I always go back for. I really do wish it was not so dang good and I could convince myself to try the Lengua and Buche. There's a ton of other places I really do enjoy, but those were just the ones off the top of my head, as I've been to all but 4 of them this month, and several are in my weekly rotation. I love good food, and no issues traveling to have some. I actually checked to see how many airline miles I had left when I heard yesterday morning that Carnegie Deli was closing in NYC... -

My bolt guns with aftermarket triggers are set at either 1# or 2.5#, depending on if they are set up for shooting paper or critters. The ones with stock triggers are just shy of being as low as I can safely adjust them to. My AR's run anywhere from 1.5#-6#, depending on function of the rifle and what trigger I have in there. My favorite triggers are Jewel (want to try a Timney Calvin Elite) for bolt guns and Hiperfire's for an AR (never an issue with light primer strikes).

Basspro carries them in stock sometimes if you want to try them on.

I went from the vortex to the outdoorsmans adapter this year. Don't think I would ever go back.

What's your barrel twist?

Same here. Cut the cord. Life is so much better now. Only thing I miss is some of the bigger games, but I'll head out for an evening if I really want to watch one.

Correct. The sign must be posted in accordance with state law. www.azleg.gov/ars/4/00229.htm

Had a volunteer's older F350 SRW start having fuel issues on the hunts for heroes hunt we did this past weekend. What type of a trailer will I need to tow it back down here to the valley, and where can I rent one at? The U-Haul ones are underrated for it. Thanks.

What's wrong with glassing up elk bushes and deer stumps? I though that was all part of the process. Great glass just lets you do it from a lot further away...

I have the Earthmate app on my phone, along with the Delorme, a Garmin 62s and back up battery. Plus my compass. My adventures are not yet to the point of needing a solar panel, but that will come in time. And I always have a plan on what direction to head should I need to exfil an area. Tons of ways to tell direction without any of the above as long as you know ahead of time which way to head. Just knowing which way to head to a major road or body of water can save your life. And when all else fails, and in most parts of the world, downhill leads to a drainage, drainage to a creek, creek to a river and a river to people. Even if they are not the kind of people you want to know you are there, where there are people there are supplies to keep you alive and back to safer places.

I've had several misfires with factory ammo. Even had one lot that had three sideways primers (found the first one the hard way...).

Title says it all. I am looking to borrow a travel trailer for the late rifle cow hunt in unit 8. Edge, myself, two other forum members and a 5th volunteer from church will be taking 3 of our veterans on this hunt and I'd like to be able to put them up in a nice warm trailer, as the temps will be in the teens and a proper bed would be much better on their bodies than a cot. Our current plan is to host them in wall tents w/cots if we cannot source a trailer. Edge is willing to trade bearing/axle maintenance/work for this, and I am sure he will chime in here to provide details. So if anyone has a warm trailer with separate sleeping areas, please contact me so we can work out the details. Thank you, Jerry

Cell, that should work out great as I found out late yesterday one of our hunters is bringing his adult son, so we could use your trailer for the two of them. Also may have another trailer that is able to stay up the whole week with an additional volunteer, so now we may be doing a full week hunt. PM inbound to you.

I plan on heading up to camp on 12/1. Edge had mentioned being up there the day before. We will break camp on 12/5. Edit- We may have an additional volunteer and the ability to stay in camp until the 7th.

You're in good shape bud. I have at least 36 more years before I'm in the max points group for turkey's, assuming they stay at 70 general tags a year.

They are being held at each regional office. Region 6 headquarters are in Mesa.
