I have the Sitka and it does well. fits my 10x42s perfectly. Only complaint I have is fit. I wear it with only a tshirt and it hangs a bit. Seems like it is designed to be worn over some bulk. I am an xl, but far from bulky...lol

Mine is a 25-06. I like it except it fouls QUICKLY and loses it's accuracy.

Short and Sweet Desert Mule Deer Hunt
AzDiamondHeat replied to cramerhunts's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
Just awesome. No better way to spend time in the outdoors than with family. -
"Good to a thousand" mentality??
AzDiamondHeat replied to GreyGhost85's topic in Long Range Shooting
Neither for me. I can't shoot off-hand to save my life and I don't think I would try an 800 yd shot. I regularly practice at 500 off sticks so I "know" I am good to there. With that practice, I feel confident that in the right scenario I could shoot 600. I don't know that I personally would push much further. I load my own and have my equipment dialed in. Misses are on ME. I do know my limitations. My buddy on the other hand.....he goes to Sportsmans and picks up whatever box of ammo the kid tells him to and "calls it good". Yeah, he is "that guy". -
How much is he harassing you about his being bigger? Well done.

Awesome. I admire you guys that pack it in and hunt. I cant do that anymore. Well done.

How about a garden hose? Anybody got a garden hose?

Can anyone recommend a place that allows for water fill up in Globe? How about dumping?

"Good to a thousand" mentality??
AzDiamondHeat replied to GreyGhost85's topic in Long Range Shooting
Same issue with all the keyboard snipers whos rifle will shoot half inch groups "all day long" and proceed to post ONE 3 shot group to prove it. It seems that these days it is more about the bragging rights to how FAR they shot something rather than how close they were able to get to it. -
Hard work with great friends pays off big!!!

That's what it is all about right there. -
Wow, good job.

Ok, I found a dump station for the way out, but they don't have fresh water for the way in. Anybody got recommendation? I could also fill up water in Winkelman or hayden if anyone knows a place. I am not picky. Just figured Globe would have more options.

Coming up from the valley to dripping springs. Figured better chance of finding it in globe than Hayden or winkleman.

I wonder why they even have the line of sight feature still. Is there a purpose for it?
-
Well done. Very happy you were able to make good out of a "mistake".

Angle. Always angle.

Alpinebullwinkle just about nailed it. According to the "official" measurement it is 113 and change(can't remember the exact fraction. It has deceptive mass.

Outstanding.

As was said above, get something with a good reputation. It doesn't have to be big and fancy, but get something that will at minimum protect from over charging. I used the harbor freight for a while and it nuked my battery. I replaced it with a small and simple pwm type and it is much better. also be sure you plan for the future and get something that can handle any expansion you might plan
-
I have the cheap harbor freight kit with the three panels. It works fine, but if I had to do it again I would spend a little more money and get a better quality single panel. The kit works perfectly, but is of course low quality. Have had it for 3 years and is still charging just fine. Whatever you do, get a quality controller. Do not use the cheap ones.
