Gunnels did the leveling on my f150 as well. Simple and practical. Good friends that do honest work.

I have it on good authority that they sit back laughing while reading all the online threads about us squirming in pain waiting to be disappointed for another year.

We do a big family camp for deer, but not elk. For elk we all put in on separate apps to increase our odds of hunting that year. Has worked out pretty good so far. I get to hunt almost every year. We still have a pretty big camp usually, but few tags. We just like to be out there together hunting. Our last coues camp we had 11 tags in camp....

She shot it exactly as she sits in the picture. Her friend Heather snapped that picture after the final shot. My wife is watching the boar, making sure it didn't twitch! Sweet. You are correct Sir. Your wife ROCKS.
-
Awesome. did she shoot that thing free hand or is that some b-roll footage?

Ahhhh hahaha a. Long time ago in downtown Mesa. I was there. My family was extras in it.

WHY he started this thread isn't quite as important as WHEN he started it. Most understand it was a tongue in cheek post but at least he was good enough to do it AFTER the deadline as to not influence anyone who might ACTUALLY believe him and not know better. Of course, down the road some unsuspecting moron who ONLY reads one thread to make an application decision might read it and decide to put in, but it will be an important lesson learned should that person actually get drawn. lol As a lifelong 4b guy it didn't bother me a bit and found it entertaining. I believe flatlander is a good guy and truly meant it in fun. 4b is the yard sale of Az elk hunting units. Sure, you can find something good once in awhile but you have to deal with a lot of circus freaks and sort through a lot of crap to get it done.... but then again some of us like yard sales..

Looks to me like a few of you guys need to hire a guide service........haaahhahhahhaaahhaaa sorry. couldn't help myself. -
That sucks. Sept is a long way off though. Looks like your growing wings

For me it is symmetry. I know a lot of guys like the gnarly ones, but my brain doesn't function that way. But to answer the question directly, a wide set is more appealing to me than a tall set.

it was time...lol

It's "sorta" real. We left the tree up a LOOOONG time this year. When we went to take off the ornaments the needles just fell off in huge swaths. The tree looked completely green and alive. Since we hadn't touched it in awhile non had fallen off before hand. We literally could shake it and watch it strip itself. We did put a few ornaments back on the tree for effect because I thought it would make a funny picture. Ironically, it was the least messy tree we ever had. I always put a big painters tarp underneath when we put the tree up. When it is time to take it down we just roll out the tarp and go. For this one we just shook it until nothing was left and then clipped all the branches off with pruning shears. The almost 10 foot tree broke down to a grocery bag of needles and a small bundle of sticks about 2x2. It was pretty funny.

Another lightweight option is the blind material you can get from walmart or wherever. It's like 12' x 4' or something like that. Stick some arrows in the ground and drape it around your sitting area for a little mini blind.
