Oh, and I forgot the funniest thing I ever forgot. On a winter hunt I remembered my boots, but left and right boot were from different pairs. Even my wife laughed at me.No idea how I did it as they a NOTHING alike. This was the pic I texted her:

I don't wear shoes when I travel and have forgotten my boots twice. Took the right rifle but wrong ammo. Forgot rifle sling on a coues hunt. Took a rifle without a bolt. The one and ONLY time I forgot my licence I was stopped and checked by g&f. Fortunately it was online and they looked it up. She was very nice and gave me a break. The funniest part is I am "that guy" that way over packs and always has everything that everyone else forgets.

So my dad really likes the idea of a single shot 22 mag. Don't know why. He has been eyeballing the Henry for several years but would never buy one for himself. I want to get him one. Any thoughts on the Henry? Any better options out there? He likes "unique" guns.

Is it possible for them both to lose? If that were an option I would watch.

I helpful thing I learned is to use long metal tongs to pick them instead of gloves. Any type of glove will pretty much have to be thrown away afterwards(any I have used anyway).

Az propane wanted $50 to re-certify. Ended up buying new ones for $48 each shipped for free. Easy math. If I was anywhere near Eager I would be taking my business to the fine folks up there. Thanks all for the replies.

I have wore the danner pronghorn for many years. The US made ones were VERY sturdy and held up great, but gave me blisters on my toes and heels and are HEAVY. The non-US ones are garbage. I have the Zamberlain gtx as well. Nice boots but run a little large and are "sloppy" on my feet. I have two different styles of Lowa gtx right now and have been using them for the past 3 years. LOVE them. For my foot they are the best desert boot. Light weight and rugged with good support and traction. Most of the high-end boots are going to be "good", it just depends on what YOUR foot likes.

Soooo many things could have happened. Did it go back to zero when you came back down? Did you wear gloves at all? Did your hold point shift. Has your peep shifted? Peeps can cause vertical movement and it is very difficult to notice. And unless you are comparing apples to apples it is even more difficult to know.
