2017: What is your bull goal this year?
AzDiamondHeat replied to KaibabHunter's topic in Elk Hunting
My bull goal this year is to call one up close and have my wife shoot one of his cows for her first archery tag. -
My buddy's first archery buck - and a small one for me.

Dirt/Trail Bike for getting into remote areas

Dual sport, enduro, street legal, all about the same thing. The common vernacular nowadays is "dual sport". The advantage is that you can drive them LEGALLY on any road. Get your OHV tag on it as well and you are gtg for all ohv roads as well. There are 3 different kinds of registrations available for motorcycles/utvs. Full highway legal allows you to drive on all the forest roads LEGALLY. The dual sport bikes are set up to be legal for this with front lights, tail light, license bracket and light etc... Most(but not all) are also geared to be a little more mild driving. -

I have used a 125 Enduro for MANY years. Low gear ratio is key for the type of riding your talking about. Light weight and quiet, easy for one person to toss around. Lots of fun. Wear a helmet. Some bad crashes happen going slow. Backpack for rifle or scabbard mounted to bike. I prefer the backpack. I strapped a milk crate to the back for extra stuff. They make rack extensions too. -
Well done! Dig. The old schoolady equipment too! Ya knnow, if it weren'the for the deer in the picture it looks like you got caught with your pants around your ankles pinching a deuce.

I think a grass roots movement to help them save money by recycling collars would be the bees knees.....

and for clarification I thought it might have been lance UNTIL COA said they messed with the card. BTW...those cards can be recovered(mostly) as long as they were not formatted...
-
I also thought COA caught the legendary lancequatch in it's natural habitat.....

Oh, and I forgot the funniest thing I ever forgot. On a winter hunt I remembered my boots, but left and right boot were from different pairs. Even my wife laughed at me.No idea how I did it as they a NOTHING alike. This was the pic I texted her:
-
I don't wear shoes when I travel and have forgotten my boots twice. Took the right rifle but wrong ammo. Forgot rifle sling on a coues hunt. Took a rifle without a bolt. The one and ONLY time I forgot my licence I was stopped and checked by g&f. Fortunately it was online and they looked it up. She was very nice and gave me a break. The funniest part is I am "that guy" that way over packs and always has everything that everyone else forgets.

So my dad really likes the idea of a single shot 22 mag. Don't know why. He has been eyeballing the Henry for several years but would never buy one for himself. I want to get him one. Any thoughts on the Henry? Any better options out there? He likes "unique" guns.
-
Is it possible for them both to lose? If that were an option I would watch.

Aug. hunt, How are you pursuing the grey ghost?
AzDiamondHeat replied to Elkhunter1's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
I set up motion sensors and take a nap. -
Hey zeke where was that?

I helpful thing I learned is to use long metal tongs to pick them instead of gloves. Any type of glove will pretty much have to be thrown away afterwards(any I have used anyway).

He is milking it....

Help my Navigational Ignorance???

Navy has "said" it was not hacked. They are adamant it was incompetence... -
Az propane wanted $50 to re-certify. Ended up buying new ones for $48 each shipped for free. Easy math. If I was anywhere near Eager I would be taking my business to the fine folks up there. Thanks all for the replies.
