Why are people defending cheating the system? Are we not ETHICAL hunters? It was a LAW that he broke. It is IRRELEVANT that we do not agree with the law. CLEARLY he KNEW the law which is why he tried to circumvent it. Many of us live by a credo of "fair chase". Why? Why is only the "hunt" subject to ethics? If we HUNT ethically, why would we not defend the "system" in the same manner? If you don't like Utah's laws, move there, start a petition, take it to the local legislation and get it changed. Or just don't hunt there! Otherwise FOLLOW THE LAW. I feel the same way about people who game the draw system here in Az. I hate cheaters. Just play by the rules. Plain and simple. I don't know this guy and I am not passing judgment on him as a person. He did something wrong, got caught and now must suffer the consequences. I wonder if he feels the sheep tag was worth it....

you do it your way Ill stick with my way Ok but if a 60-70 lb bow slinging a arrow at a Javelina did not kill it with its kinetic energy and ft lbs of whoop arse I'm not sure why a arrow thrusted from a belly crawler at a Javelina in confined space would work so well. The amount of force 1 could even apply while on belly would not even penetrate the hide of Javelina. The Javelina would need to be on last breath and wound channel already there would need to allow access to vitals. Learned all this the rough way but good luck with that. Unless it is a Rage, then you'll be fine...

Appears as though you shot bone and didn't get penetration. Maybe it was a bit angled and it bounced off just slicing his shoulder? lots of possibilities.

Never had a problem. I notify my card company prior to the charges hitting and let them know to approve ALL charges fro the next 2 weeks. I like the system. New Mexico charges everything up front and refunds after not drawn. Not bad either unless you have a boat load of tags to apply for.

THey are not "movie quiet", but the hunting difference is night and day. At least for the cans I shoot. In the heat of the moment you don't really even hear it. I do not wear hearing protection anymore and I never have ringing ears. When target shooting I still wear hearing protection even with the cans on.

It looks like you need a bigger gun when you check your cameras.....

I have chemically stripped lots of things before, just didn't want the mess and hassle as this crib is fairly intricate and I fear it will be a nightmare. lots of skinny posts on it.

Sounds like some guys need to carry cameras instead of guns.... I find myself doing that more and more on our predator excursions. I am getting to where I prefer to see other people do the shooting.

I do mine online so they can look it up if for some reason mine gets "lost". Got checked one while dove hunting. Left my wallet at home. The young lady was nice enough to look it up and not cite me. I also keep a .pdf on my phone.
