    Dreams Come True!

I put in for the first time this year. I have high expectations that I will get drawn. Already getting gear together for my hunt.

    Starting new mineral licks

I have never put one on public land, but we do put some up on our private land so the kids can see what is around. We have had good success in saddles and close to trails. We dig our salt in and water it so they have to dig at it. Cows don't seem to bother it that way either.

2009 with the aftermarket jump seat added. Harness for 5 passengers. Brand new Sedona ripsaws on back, 6mo old ripsaws on front. Brakes, belt, air filter, emergency brake all done in last 12 months. Just changed oil and plug as well. A few after market add ons include hid headlights, led light bar and pods, sport exhaust, soft top and rack, matching cooler and a few other upgrades. Partial factory utv skids on the bottom, aluminum arm guards and a warn winch. Street legal but the tags did expire last month. It does have a tear in the passenger sea tback from a wayward branch during an elk hunt. Rode this thing like it was intended to be ridden and it never let us down. $5000

Advice and Potentially Crossbow Needed for Son's Hunt

You can borrow mine. It is set up for my wife so should be just the right size. It's a Mission MXB Dagger and all set to go. Has an adjustable stock if needed too. Draysen is a good kid so I have no worries with you borrowing it if you go that route.

What do you carry with your 15x's?

I have 15s a spotter and my 10s. I don't carry 8s because they don't fit in my chest harness as well as my 10s.

    I want a 280ai

I want to buy or build a quality lightweight 280ai mountain rifle. What should I get? Not looking to spend a fortune but know it won't be cheap. Kimber? Bergara? Custom? Something else?

    I want a 280ai

Late follow up. I did end up going with a kimber sub alpine in the 280ai. Topped it with a meopta and Talley light weight rings. All in right about 6.5 lbs. Had to wait awhile before I could shoot it due to life getting in the way. Went out this morning to put some break in rounds through it before starting my load workup. 20 rounds of factory nosler 140s. 3 shoot clean and repeat. Was pleasantly surprised at the initial accuracy. Last group of the day was 5 shots to finish out the 20. This was not the norm for the first 5 "groups", but sure makes me grin about the possibilities.
