There are some very nice and very expensive ones out there, but what is your purpose? I have had one of the amazon cheapies(called an airsoft cover) on mine for almost 2 years with ZERO issues. I use mine for hunting only though so it never really gets "hot". Even sighting in once a year with 4 or 5 shots in a couple minutes it does just fine. I doubt it would hold up to a mag dump though. Maybe one.

Now that my little ones are turned around in their car seats we are looking to add a video player to my GMC truck. I know a lot of guys on here drive chevy/gmc and hope some of you have done this. Anything good out there that I should look at?

We already have tablets and laptops but want something more permanent. Momma has a DVD playerbuilt into her infiniti and it is so much better and more convenient having it there and available ALWAYS and not having to mess with straps or plugs or cords. My truck is 2017 denali. I don't care if it is aftermarket or factory as long as it is quality and integrates with the current system. So it seems that not too many guys have done this. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good AV guy in the valley?

If you don't care about fugly brass load em up. Call it "custom brass finish" and sell it for big $ to the man bun militia groups....

My understanding is 5g and 4g will run concurrent and not a direct replacement. But my understanding has been known to be suspect...

Looking for an "affordable" scope in the 3-15ish range. Preferably a 50mm objective but not a "requirement". This is for my BIL pos old 30-06 so nothing too fancy. Anybody upgrading and got a scope laying around that might fit this description?

I have been using one for many years. I can go just about anywhere in Az and have service. I highly recommend the Drive-x or the newer one(cant remember what it is called). I use the weboost(wilson) and like above move it from my truck to my toy hauler. though. In my truck I use the candybar interior antenna and the regular magnet exterior antenna. I have a "built-in" antenna for my toy hauler. I prewired co-ax from outside to inside where I put a bigger interior "office" antenna". Outside I got a 40ft coax and attach it to one of the more powerful directional attenas and run it up my collapsible flagpole. Took me many years and many trials of different components to figure out what works best for me. This system works awesome. I was skeptical at first, but I would GLADLY spend the money again. GLADLY. WELL worth it. If you are ever in the East Valley I would be happy to sow it to you.

If it is even a distant cousin of TT it is probably out of his price range. lol I was wondering what you would offer up on here to taunt me..... but out of curiosity how much?

Correct, not my tags. Well some of them were. It is hard to believe but I do actually have enough friends that get drawn that I get invited every year. Its the curse of being a master of elk a calling......lol This year we have 2 hunts in October to make up for nothing in September. I do feel lucky when I get to be in the woods chasing elk. I am a simple city boy so the mountains are an escape for me.

This is the first time in 9 years I am sitting at home on opening day. Congrats to those who have tagged and good luck to those out in the field.

last year it was DDDDRRRRRYYYYYY as in dust bowl dry. Only a couple of the deeper/bigger tanks had water. Looking a ittle similar this year. This weekend up in Strawberry it went stone cold quiet as soon as all the people came out for the weekend. I wouldn't gauge activity based on this weekend. But mine is a very small sample so hard to say.

Not nearly as cool as a swaro bag but mine fit perfectly in one of those small insulated lunch bags. Even has a small pouch on the outside for attachments. Bonus - nobody wants to steal your lunch......
