With 17 points, pls do not hunt anything but a rut hunt! Hold out a couple more years until you have enough points to get the early rifle/muzzleloader tag.....unless you want to hunt archery which you should have enough points. I hunted Unit 9 early muzzleloader bull last year (21 point) and was a lot of fun with Chad Woodruff (Mossback). Was passing on ~10 bulls a day and killed a great bull on the 5th day. Also, make sure you can walk 5-10 miles a day if needed.... Good luck! PS....make sure you purchase point guard too!

The new 2-speed Penn Fathom's are great. We charter out of Seaforth Landing and Seward every year and now prefer those over the Shimano Tiagra's and Talica's. The Shimano's are excellent reels for big fish but require tune-ups regularly to keep them in good working condition. Good luck! .....

Definitely check into PRP. Have successfully healed both Tennis Elbow issues after going thru all the other options and also repaired a torn ligament in my calf. Works great and is worth the money!

How the heck are you supposed to hunt these things?

Actually was quite a fun hunt and got to meet with a lot of the local farmers. I was surprised how wary these things are and it is almost impossible to sneak up on. Next to prove whether or not they truly are the "Ribeyes in the sky"....

I have decided to hunt the famous Sandhill Cranes down south (Ribeyes in the Sky) to see if it is true on how good they taste.... I have 20 handmade decoys and they look great but was wondering if anyone has a call they might be willing to sell or share. Also, any hunt recommendations appreciated.
