Brand new Badlands 2200 with tags plus bladder
rclouse79 replied to rclouse79's topic in Classified Ads
Sold. Nice to meet you EOM! -
I figured it would cost $315.54 to walk out of the door at Sportsman's with this (pack- $269.95, Bladder $24.95, tax $20.64). I have to say Badlands customer service is awesome. They sent me this pack after my old one bit the dust, but I have decided to go another route. The water bladder is from my old badlands, but the pack the newest model and is completely unused with the tags. I am asking $250, firm for now. Call Rob at six09-two9two4.

I have sometimes thought about selling my Kaibabs and upgrading to Swaros. Part of me is extremely happy with the kaibabs, and I am afraid to even look through swaros incase my eyes see a big difference. Most everyone agrees Swaros are the gold standard. Some say they are slightly better than kaibabs, some say they are way better. I can't help but think a lot of opinions are slightly biased towards what ever the person owns. Somebody who owns Kaibabs is more likely to say they are close to swaros to make them feel better about not forking out the extra cash for the upgrade. Somebody who owns Swaros is more likely to say they are WAY better. I would say that they were WAY WAY better if I dropped an extra $500 to upgrade them just so I could sleep at night. I guess the only way for me to figure that out is to look through both. .

The vultures must be pretty new. Can't find much on them in the way of reviews.

I wished I knew some info for that unit. I would let a full grown man fend for himself, but the thought of a kid getting into some pigs makes me smile.

It is still available. I will sell the pack to someone in Tucson for $200 if they let me know in time to cancel the ebay auction before someone bids. -

I was out last week and saw a group of 20 does, 3 does, and 3 does. No bucks. Maybe I was just in the wrong spots at the wrong times, but I didn't see nearly the number of decent sized bucks running around this entire month compared to years past.

Thanks for all the info. One thing that made me feel a little better is as long as you don't use the pack outdoors you have 30 days to return it. I doubt I ever would, but when dropping some serious cash it is a little comfort.

Great pics. That makes me want to get out for a trip.

It has some scratches, but works perfectly. It is tall enough for me to glass standing up and I am 6'3. Asking $100. http://www.amazon.com/Manfrotto-055XDB-Basic-Tripod-Black/dp/B000TR6NTQ

I have a blue widow currently on e-bay with no bids on it. I just bought it new and used it a couple of times. pm if interested.

There is a head on it now, but it is not for sale.

There seems like a lot to digest with the kifaru packs. I was looking at the timberline 2. If that is the one you like you have to choose between with one with an integrated frame, or just the bag with one of two external frames. It all seems like a daunting decision without being able to put your hands on it.

I was checking those out a little bit also. Thanks for the offer, I just might shoot you a pm in the future.

Drop to $200 if you can give me the money before somebody bids on e-bay. -
Cut the meat off the bone. Bleach a cooler and rinse it out. Put the meat in with ice, salt, and apple cider vinegar. Drain it every day and add more ice, vinegar, water and salt for three days. The first couple times it will come out bloody, but the liquid is pretty much clear by the end. Dry it wrap it and freeze it. When you get ready to eat it take out a pack, let it thaw, and then put it in the crock pot. Cover it in root beer and cook it on low all day. Shred it up that night and sever it with bbq sauce and cheese on a toasted bun. Take any leftover the next day and fry it up with taco seasoning for tacos. This method leaves absolutely zero game taste, and it is fairly tender (for javalina anyways).

So I spot up a pile of pigs under at tree 200 yards away from my perch. I sneak in to the tall cactus they are behind and they are still sleeping! I am within 30 yards and I just have to make a couple more steps to get a clear shooting lane. I start thinking to myself about how it is finally going to happen. I take a step and a covey of quail explodes out from right under my feet. The javalina jump up and start milling around. They start moving off so I panic and hit the javalina call, which only hastens their retreat. EFFFFFF!!! I am not going to be able to get out again for archery in 2014. Maybe next year.

How can you not like Manning? He seems like he would be your goofy uncle that would take you fishing, teach you secrets of life, and then order a Papa John's Pizza when you were done. That one is a toss up. Although I have to say in this new NFL where you get flagged for breathing on someone I have been know to stomp around and throw a temper tantrum like a three year old when my team is on the receiving end.

If you want a good laugh, youtube the interview and watch the reaction of the reporter. I think she puked in her mouth a little bit. I commend her for getting off a follow up question; I would have just stood there with my mouth open.

I picked these up at the REI garage sale over Christmas break. If someone set them next to a new pair I would not have know which pair was which. I bought them as a backup pair of boots for my current hunting boots. I have worn them around for less than ten miles and although I like them, my other pair of boots fit my foot a little bit better. I am selling them for $120, which is what I paid for them. They retail for $225. I wanted to see if anyone around Tucson wanted them this weekend before I put them on Craigslist. I am a tikka fan. I only have one, but it is a tack driver.
